So pleased I chose this trip over the others. Gary was amazing. He is such a gifted story teller and he brought everything to life. The tour consisted of us being driven around to various sites and at these sites Gary regaled us with stories of what happened there and he also had photos with him to illustrate more about the place and the story. It was so engaging. As part of the trip we went to the aviation museum which was great. What was good was that when we saw the photos and stories about the various people Gary had talked to us about, it felt like we already knew them.
What a great morning. Garry really knows his stuff and tells great stories. Based on family involvement, local knowledge, study, and the stories of his guests, you will get insights you wouldn't get from any one else. Complete with fair dinkum Aussie humour. Our trip through the Aviation Museum meant so much more from knowing the stories.
Very knowledgeable and humorous tour guide. Well maintained and air-conditioned vehicle. An enjoyable experience
Awesome experience. This is the second tour I’ve done with Gary. It’s that good. Very informative with many stories and laughs on the way. It is such a pity that such a significant event is not more widely known.
Garry was very welcoming from the moment he picked us up. His personal interest and passion for this part of Australia’s history is obvious and infectious. Garry is a great storyteller and personalizes the people he talks about and makes them come to life! It is great value for money and I highly recommend the tour for anyone visiting Darwin. Great Tour, Gary was very informative and kept the stories coming. Highly recommend.
Thank you Garry for a fantastic, well organised tour. We learned so much about what happened to Darwin during WWII and saw many other interesting sites. None of us had ever known about the extent of the attempted invasion and we followed up by going to Adelaide River War Grave Cemetery. The transport was comfortable and air conditioned. A fantastic experience from start to finish.
Very good experience. Garry was excellent and had lots of information
Gary is a great guy. Very informative, humorous and approachable. The history is fascinating and little known outside of the area.
