Bomarzo Park of the Monsters - Mystery Tour from Rome

Description
Step beyond Rome into Italy’s most surreal garden: Bomarzo’s Sacro Bosco, the Park of the Monsters. Created in the 16th century by Prince Vicino Orsini, this “anti-Renaissance” wood is carved from volcanic rock and filled with giant figures—dragons, elephants, mythic beasts, and the iconic Ogre’s Mouth—designed to astonish and spark imagination along shaded paths. Its atmosphere feels like the park’s “dark fairytale,” and it later drew modern creatives too: Salvador Dalí visited, and the site is often linked to avant-garde figures such as Marcel Duchamp and André Breton. More recently, even Tim Burton has been associated with the Sacro Bosco’s eerie, cinematic vibe. After the park, enjoy Bomarzo’s medieval hilltop village—stone lanes, arches, and viewpoints over Tuscia. Park tickets + lunch included; choose VIP Private (door-to-door) or Standard (train + transfers).
