This tour is only an hour long, but they pack a lot of great information into the hour. Our guide was Anna, and she was exceptional. She had a wealth of knowledge and a fun delivery. The sea was rough on our tour, so we didn't go far out of the bay. Anna made up for that with great stories about various sights around the harbor. This is a tour you should take if you are in Dingle. One quick note: Arrive early! Parking is difficult to find. We arrived 30 minutes before our tour time and could not find parking. We missed our original tour and the tour company rebooked us for another tour later in the day (Thank you Dingle Boat Tours). We ended up parking a little over a mile from the pier for the second tour.
Well worth the time and money. The views were lovely and Anna was knowledgeable and friendly. Loved hearing about Dingle, the rocks and the birds.
We wanted to take a sea excursion but not too long with our 5 and 2.5-year-old children. Everything went very well, the crew was charming and the guide full of humor and interesting anecdotes. I recommend.
I had a really great experience on this tour! Everything was very well organised, and the tour started exactly on time, which I really appreciated. The guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience very interactive and enjoyable. He explained the geography of the area extremely well and shared lots of interesting information along the way, making it easy to understand and keeping everyone engaged. You could really see that he knew the area very well and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. I had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend this tour. I would happily do it again!
Myself and my family had a wonderful experience. We did the 1 hr boat tour of the Dingle peninsula. Views were spectacular and the guide Dermot was knowledgeable friendly and funny at the same time. Highly recommended.
They told us there would be Puffins but half way through tour we were informed their only there for half the year. False advertisement. But everything else nice.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the rest of the tour. We would, however, like to mention that we do not advertise puffin sightings as part of our Harbour Tour. Puffins nest on the outer Blasket islands from April to the end of July and ocassioneley some are seen in the bay, sightings are not included as a feature of the tour. We’re sorry if there was any misunderstanding regarding this, but we appreciate you bringing it to our attention.
Unfortunately they seem to overbook, not exactly fair that people are paying upwards of €80 for their family tickets, then not getting a seat on the outside of the boat. The information from the guide, and his stories were good. I do not understand why they’re asking for tips at the end of the tour though, seems a bit out of line. For some reason we waited over 10 minutes after we were supposed to start, for a group that arrived late, but we still arrived back at the dock at 2:45, which means we didn’t get a full hour.
Thanks Ellen for taking the time to leave a review. However our afternoon 1 hour tour departs at 12:45 and returns at 1:45 so we’re concerned there may be some confusion regarding which tour operator you travelled with. We would be very happy to look into this further if you could contact us directly with your booking details and the date of your tour.
Brilliant. We saw lots of wildlife and the people were friendly and knowledgeable.
Unexpectedly fascinating with a really knowledgeable guide who bought the history (natural and human), geology, and botany of the area to life and explained it all clearly. The live guide made this trip for me.
Hi Louise, thanks so much for your kind and generous review. We're delighted you enjoyed and took much from the tour, we're so blessed our tour guides have such a wealth of information. Hope to see you on board again soon!
We thoroughly enjoyed our information-packed boat tour of the Dingle Peninsula. The boat was comfortable, easy to find, and the entire trip was well organised. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen to, bringing the history, wildlife and scenery to life throughout the tour. A top tip for future visitors: arrive early to secure a parking space, as they fill up quickly. If you do need to park further away, allow yourself a little extra time to walk to the departure point. Thank you for a fantastic experience – we highly recommend this tour!
