Several locations in the Dingle Peninsula have served as filming locations for Star Wars movies, particularly for "Star Wars: The Last Jedi." One prominent spot is Ceann Sibeal (also known as Sybil Head), which was featured as the location for the Jedi Temple on the planet Ahch-To. The rugged cliffs and stunning scenery of Ceann Sibeal provided a fitting backdrop for key scenes involving Luke Skywalker and Rey. Additionally, the nearby island of Skellig Michael, although not technically part of the Dingle Peninsula, was also used extensively in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Skellig Michael served as the filming location for the remote Jedi hermitage where Luke Skywalker was found at the end of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and where Rey seeks his guidance in "The Last Jedi." These Star Wars filming locations have further heightened the allure of the Dingle Peninsula for visitors, combining its natural beauty with the magic of cinematic storytelling.
The Gallarus Oratory is a remarkable ancient structure located on the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, Ireland. Dating back to the early Christian period, it is believed to have been built between the 6th and 9th centuries AD.

Really great excursion from our cruise. Des was quite knowledgeable about a wide variety of subjects, with a healthy dose of humor. Not sure the beehive houses and lambs were worth the stop but the world's best brownies were! A very scenic drive, treasuring pictures and memories.
Thank you so much for the lovely review! We’re delighted you enjoyed your tour of the Dingle Peninsula with Des. His local knowledge and sense of humour always make for a great day out! Great to hear the scenery, photos and memories made the trip special — and especially glad the brownies got the seal of approval! Thanks again for choosing Dingle Slea Head Tours during your visit to Dingle. We really appreciate the recommendation. Rory & the Dingle Slea Head Tours Team
Rory was a wonderful tour guide who led use through the peninsula and slea head drive. He gave us a great history lesson that came straight from a local of the area. We had atypical circumstances and were on the end of getting onto the tour so we ended up in our own car with two more people- that was truly special! We saw so many beautiful sights with beautiful meaning I would recommend this tour to anyone coming to visit dingle
Thank you so much for the wonderful review. It was a pleasure having you along on the tour, and I’m delighted you enjoyed the history, stories and beautiful sights around the Dingle Peninsula and Slea Head. Your tour certainly worked out a little differently on the day, but I’m glad it made the experience even more special! Thank you for choosing Dingle Slea Head Tours and for the kind recommendation. We booked this last minute as I decided driving on narrow winding roads was not the best idea on my second day of driving in Ireland. I could not have been more thankful. Our guide handled the very difficult road conditions expertly and I got to enjoy the view. Rory was an excellent guide. He provided us with excellent information. He was a lovely, calm, and interesting person who grew up in the area and knew it well. My two adult children said this was their favourite day in Ireland. The drive itself was spectacular.
Thank you so much for the lovely review. I’m delighted you were able to relax and enjoy the scenery without having to worry about driving the narrow roads yourself. It was a pleasure showing you and your family around the Dingle Peninsula, and hearing that your children said it was their favourite day in Ireland means a lot to us. Thank you for choosing Dingle Slea Head Tours, and I hope you all enjoyed the rest of your time in Ireland! Rory
A great trip with a smart and kind driver! (Also incredibly skilled- he always managed to keep the van close to where we were). He had knowledge about everywhere we went and even places we didn’t (like pointing out the house Delores Riordan’s house). It was a scenic and fun way to spend half a day!

Excellent tour. Very knowledgeable guide Des Murphy. Small group made for easy stops and access points. Note: the sheep stop is included but you have to pay extra. Not as scheduled. Suggest this should be referenced in the booking.

Just to clarify, the Hold a Baby Lamb stop is included as part of the tour route, but the €5 entrance fee is additional and is stated in the booking information.
