Just looking outside is not enough. Going through the house is enlightening and impressive. I’ve been here so many times times and it was my first to see the inside. I recommend it to everyone. It will bring you back to the glory days of those days. George is full of enthusiasm

George is fantastic! He shares so much history about the Painted Ladies, the Blue Painted Lady, the neighborhood, the city, and his and his family's own history with the city and the house. He is a great story teller and by the end you feel like you may actually be friends with him! My 12 year old and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned so much! Be aware for the younger friends: it's a solid stretch of time being quiet, still, and needing to be bodily aware and careful of fragile surroundings.

The owner of the house is very friendly and full of fun stories about the house itself and his experiences being an owner of it. I definitely recommend this tour, especially if you love Victorian homes.

This is an excellent tour and the host, George, is THE BEST! You will learn a lot about the history of the area, and these iconic homes, and you'll also make a new friend.

The owner is FABULOUS! He has a great way of sharing history and is excellent at connecting with his guests and telling the best stories. I love the details of the house and how well preserved the home is. My 14 year old daughter also loved the experience. George left a lasting impression on her (on both of us, but at 14, she was really impacted). She observed how kind and generous he is and what an amazing life he has that is enriched by a variety of people in all areas of life. It is inspirational to see how kindness really does come back in the most pleasant and unexpected ways. Thank you, George, for your incredible hospitality. My only regret is that I did not bring my whole family. We will begin planning our next SF trip and this will be on the top of our list!

This tour is educational and entertaining. It is much more than just a chance to see inside a historic and iconic home, it’s a bit of a history lesson of the area, the city, and of course the house. It’s entertaining because the host and homeowner, George, is a delight. He is engaging and welcoming, and has some amazing family stories. He was very friendly and gracious in sharing his home. I highly recommend booking this tour.

This was such a great tour! George is passionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly generous with his home. The house is beautifully cared for with many original features. It’s such a treat to get to see one of these famous houses up close and personal. Take the tour while you can- George is almost as much of a local treasure as the house, and humans don’t last forever, sooo…. 😬
