We booked this excursion because we wanted to see Ancient Olympia without worrying about getting back to the ship on time. Traveling with family, that was probably our biggest concern, and everything worked out very smoothly. The pickup from Katakolon was straightforward, and the air-conditioned vehicle was comfortable after spending time outside in the heat. Our guide was friendly and explained the history of Olympia in a way that was easy for both adults and children to follow. We really enjoyed walking through the archaeological site and learning about the ancient Olympic Games. Having the admission fees included also made the day easier. After the guided portion, we had some free time in Olympia to look around at our own pace, which was a nice balance. We never felt rushed, and getting back to the ship on time gave us peace of mind. A very enjoyable family day.
There were several of us traveling together, and we wanted to see Olympia without spending the whole port day trying to figure out transportation ourselves. The organization was simple from the start. We were picked up at the cruise port and taken to Olympia in a comfortable air-conditioned vehicle.
