This was an excellent tour and I highly recommend it. Alina is incredibly knowledgeable and well-prepared. She provided historical information as well as personal insights for the sites we visited and the development of the city. She is also incredibly adaptable. Before the actual tour, we were continuously changing the itinerary and Alina went above and beyond to make sure we got the most from our time with her. I was also traveling with an older relative and Alina made sure the tour fit both our comfort levels without missing a thing. This is a great tour and a perfect way to start your visit to Bucharest.

She is personable, very knowledgeable, and has a great sense of humor. She was very organized and made optimal use of our time with her. I chose the tour by contacting "when in Bucharest" directly by email, which I found in a printed guidebook, and I must say it was wonderful because, in addition to the professionalism and seriousness of the organization, the guide added a lot of friendliness and a lot of personal culture from someone who has lived (and lives) in the area and its history, telling anecdotes and curiosities, and they made us imagine the historical events of the city, which provided added value to the tour; highly recommended for families with children and teenagers as well as adults.

Among the many tours offered by When in Bucharest, we chose a private and customized 3-hour tour that combined aspects of the historical center tour and the communism tour. The tour was really interesting and helped us discover the history of Bucharest and the many stories of the people who have lived there over time. A special mention to our guide, Lorin, a truly passionate and knowledgeable young man who, with excellent Italian, led us on this journey, making us fall in love with Bucharest and its contrasts. At the end of the tour, the agency staff also provided us with advice and information about concerts and events that would take place in the city during our stay. Highly recommended!
