Our experience with John was excellent! We enjoyed our visit to the Giants Causeway thanks to his helpful tips, and had a lovely afternoon exploring Derry before returning to Belfast.

This tour gives you more than the standard Causeway itinerary. We’re the only operator that pairs the Giant’s Causeway with a visit to Derry’s Guildhall, Historic Walls and Free Derry Corner. At the Giant’s Causeway, you can explore the famous basalt columns, take in the Atlantic views and hear the local stories that make the site so much more than a photo stop. We highlight the best vantage points, the must‑see features like the Grand Causeway and the Wishing Chair, and the folklore that connects the landscape to Northern Ireland’s heritage. In Derry, you step directly into the city’s history — the Guildhall, the 17th‑century Walls and Free Derry Corner. You travel in comfortable, luxury coaches, with a local team who know the coast, the city and the stories that tie them together. If you want a Northern Ireland day trip that’s unique and memorable, this is the one to book!

Giant’s Causeway – A UNESCO World Heritage Wonder A visit to the Giant’s Causeway is the highlight of any Northern Ireland adventure. Step into a landscape shaped by fire and sea, where over 40,000 hexagonal basalt columns form one of the world’s most striking natural wonders. Wander across the famous stones, breathe in the wild Atlantic air, and take in sweeping cliff views that feel almost otherworldly. Whether you’re exploring the Grand Causeway, discovering the legendary Wishing Chair, or hearing the story of Finn McCool, every moment blends myth, geology and breath taking scenery. With a modern Visitor Centre, guided experiences and easy coastal paths, it’s an unforgettable stop on your Causeway Coast day tour.
Derry Guildhall & Historic Walls – A Walk Through 400 Years of History A visit to Derry–Londonderry brings you straight into the heart of one of Ireland’s most fascinating historic cities. Your first stop is the Guildhall, a stunning neo‑Gothic building known for its red sandstone exterior, grand stained‑glass windows and powerful exhibitions telling the story of the city’s past. It’s a warm, welcoming space where culture, music and history meet. Just steps away, you’ll climb onto the 17th‑century City Walls—the best‑preserved in Europe. As you walk the full circuit, you’ll enjoy elevated views over the Bogside, the Peace Bridge and the River Foyle. Cannons, watchtowers and centuries‑old gateways bring the story of siege, resilience and community to life. Together, the Guildhall and Walls offer a rich blend of architecture, heritage and panoramic scenery, making this one of the most memorable highlights of any day tour.
Free Derry Corner – A Powerful Piece of Living History Free Derry Corner is one of the most iconic landmarks in Northern Ireland. Standing proudly in the Bogside, the famous white gable wall marked “You are now entering Free Derry” has become a symbol of civil rights, community identity and resilience. Visitors can explore the surrounding murals and memorials that tell the story of the people who shaped this neighbourhood during some of the city’s most significant moments. It’s a moving, meaningful stop that offers real insight into Derry’s past and the spirit of the Bogside today.

Our experience with John was excellent! We enjoyed our visit to the Giants Causeway thanks to his helpful tips, and had a lovely afternoon exploring Derry before returning to Belfast.
Sean was a great tour guide - entertaining, knowledgeable and very friendly! A really unique tour as you get to visit both the Giant's Causeway before everyone gets there (so quiet and peaceful) as well as Derry all in one day, while getting back to Belfast not too late. Thanks for a great day!
We were part of a very small group that was lucky enough to be led by Sean, who was a real joy to spend the day with. He not only told us many things about the surroundings and destinations, but listened to what we found interesting and made sure to show us even more of those types of things. Though we only met Sean, I got the impression of a nice company that had strong ties between colleagues, and people really care about what they are doing. So we had a very nice time, learned a lot, laughed a lot, saw beautiful scenery and a beautiful town with an important history, and had fun the whole time with Sean's banter and guiding. Sean went above and beyond to get us back to our hotel and generously gave us a nice small parting gift as a memory of a great day. Strongly recommended!
We had an excellent guide in Sean who had so much local knowledge about all the stops and also about Belfast and Northern Ireland in general. He tailored the trip to us and answered all of our questions and shared so much about his own experiences and those of his family. He gave us great guidance on what to do at Giant’s Causeway and in Derry that saved us time and also money/tourist type traps. We chose this tour over Game of Thrones and we’re glad we did. He also shared stories about Game of Thrones while we were driving too though. We did the Black Cabs tour in Belfast too, but Sean shared his own family history that in some ways was more meaningful and complemented what we had done the day before. He seemed to tailor the tour for what he could tell we were interested in. On the way back to Belfast he shared advice on what to do that night for pubs and night life and it was excellent advice. We had a great day on the tour and a great night too. He was also interested in learning about us, our home country of Canada, our travels in Ireland, and our family back home which made the trip feel even more authentic.
We had a lovely day visiting the Causeway and Derry, but Sean’s sparkling personality and wit may have been the highlight! He was very informative, funny, gave us lots of helpful suggestions for our trip and answered all our questions. He definitely went above and beyond to make our day the best it could be! Thank you.
We booked the excursion in Spanish and it was in English; the guide was excellent but it was not what we wanted. Do not trust it if it says in Spanish because there are no Spanish-speaking guides.
Being a local, I was surprised how well I enjoyed this day trip. It was so lovely to not have the stress of driving..... being able to sit back and take in all the beautiful north coast scenery was fantastic. Our bus driver/guide Sean was fab - very knowledgeable with a great sense of humour. My kids 10yrs and 8 yrs loved it all - the Derry City walks; the ice cream at Dunluce Castle; but especially the Giants Causeway..... I would definitely recommend and take this trip again...
We had an excellent time, Sean the coach driver was brilliant, brought a fun mix of information, music and humour, right up my street. Giants causeway is like nothing else, a must see for sure. We then made a pitstop at Dunluce Castle so we could pretend we were in Game of Thrones for a wee minute which was nearly as good as the delicious ice cream on site. The maiden city of Derry just has all the vibes and all the history! Timing, pickups all well communicated and coordinated. Without doubt I'd definitely use these guys again 😎
As American tourists, the highlight of our trip to Northern Ireland was this incredible tour with Be There Trips. We didn't just get to see some of the country's most breathtaking places—we came away having learned so much about its history, culture, and people. The coach was spotless, comfortable, and modern. Sean, our driver, was warm, friendly, and highly professional, making us feel welcome and safe throughout the day. Our guide was outstanding. His knowledge was exceptional, and he shared it in such an engaging, humorous way that every mile of the journey was enjoyable. We laughed, learned, and left with a much deeper appreciation of Northern Ireland. This wasn't just a sightseeing tour—it was an unforgettable experience and the highlight of our entire vacation. We can't recommend Be There Trips highly enough!
