This is a must see…one of the wonders of the world. Our guide w we as incredibly knowledgeable and had a great (dry) sense of humor.
Great experience with a very knowledgeable tour guide, Miguel, who was also funny and personal. Highly recommend guided tour in order to learn as much as one could. Very few signs within the monastery so a guide was invaluable
Rui was phenomenal! He was so informative. I learned so much from him. He knew about all sorts of history. I loved him being able to talk about the architectural styles and describe the portraits and the statues.
Rui was both friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot and saw many things that we would not be aware of on our own.
Highly recommend this tour. Our tour guide Rui was the definition of a professional tour guide who has obviously studied and practiced his craft over many years. He knew the history of every location we visited in great depth and shared stories that made the history of Lisbon come alive. There was no question he couldn’t answer in great detail. He looked after our tour group carefully and ensured we had enough time to rest and to be kept safe while crossing streets or over rough surfaces. Highly recommend this tour.
This is a very smooth and informative experience that showcased several attractions over some distance. By far, the most in knowledgeable guide we've had on Viator. I wouldn't recommend for kids under twelve, anyone with physical limitations or not actually interested in understanding the detailed history from an expert. Thank you Rui, one of Lisboa's finest.
Excellent informative tour. Small group allowed us to ask lots of questions which Rui was happy to answer.
Excellent tour, very active and interested guide, knowledgeable of the subject. I recommend.
The monastery does not have any informational placards or references for the historical significance of the artifacts and architecture inside, such as you would see in a traditional museum. This is intentional to preserve the interior. Thus, a tour like this is absolutely critical to understanding the significance and context of what you’re viewing. I would highly recommend it, and our guide Rui was an extremely well informed and articulate guide.
Spectacular building and lovely architecture whether you have any religious belief or not you must go
