This was such a fun and educational experience! I absolutely loved how our guide walked us through each step of the chocolate making process. It was so interesting getting to see how chocolate is made from start to finish, and even better that we got to taste the different phases along the way! I also loved how interactive the experience was. Our little dances and chants had us laughing, smiling, and fully enjoying the moment. It made the experience feel so much more personal and memorable. But most importantly, I LOVED getting to craft my OWN chocolate bar! There was something so special about being able to make it myself and take part in the entire process. Overall, this was such a unique experience, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something fun, interactive, and educational! Thank you for singing me happy birthday and bringing out a delicious sweet treat afterwards! It felt so special!

Such a fun and light experience we had so much fun and learnt a lot about chocolate and its history while getting to make some ourselves goofed around a bit. there is a beautiful hand made jewellery store in the same building that we explored while waiting I would absolutely recommend this experience thank you josaline
This was such a fun experience and definitely one of the highlights of our time in Antigua! My wife and I took the class together, and we both had a great time. Our instructor, Josalina (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly!), was wonderful. She was friendly, engaging, and very knowledgeable. The class was not only hands-on and entertaining, but also surprisingly informative. We learned about the different types of chocolate, how cacao is processed, and the steps involved in turning cacao into the chocolate we are familiar with. The best part was getting to make our own chocolate bars and chocolate drinks. It made the class feel much more interactive than simply watching a demonstration, and we got to enjoy what we made afterward. Although we attended as a couple, there were also families in our class with younger children, and the kids seemed to be having a fantastic time. It really felt like an activity that could be enjoyed by couples, families, or anyone who loves chocolate and wants to learn more about how it is made. It was a great combination of learning, hands-on activities, and just having fun. I would definitely recommend this class while visiting Antigua, and I would happily do it again!
Overall a fun experience. You get to make your own chocolate bar which is worth 1/4 th of the overall price you pay. Get to taste shots of tea, hot chocolate, etc.
Great way to learn about cacao especially since cacao originates in Mesoamérica. The history of its uses are shared in a fun way by your guide, we had Joselyn. The tasting experiences had mixed reactions among the group of 8, but I liked each of ways cacao was consumed historically. You leave with a bar of semisweet chocolate you have flavored and get a discount for shopping in the store that day. Location is right in the plaza- can’t beat that. Did this with my adult daughter. Other people in our group were mother and young son, young couple, and another mother and daughter. All of us left smiling.
I was hesitant at first, BUT it was so much fun. Our teacher, Jocelyn was energetic, personable, and informative. She was great! The 2 hour experience is 100% worth it. I highly recommend this experience for all ages.
The workshop was very interesting; we learned a lot about the process of cacao and chocolate. Joselin also makes it very entertaining. We did not find tickets via TripAdvisor or others, but there were spots available directly at the ChocoMuseo.
I can see why everyone leaves positive reviews for this experience! We had a blast and learned new things about chocolate. Diana was a great instructor / leader of the tasting experience, and she was super interactive and had great energy. Fun way to spend a Saturday morning on my birthday weekend! Thank you so much
This is definitely one of the top highlights of the Antigua trip, not to be missed, especially the class with Joslyn! Went on a monday and the class was nearly at capacity. Learned so much about the entire process from the beans to actually making our own bars. Lots of free samples, and it was really cool to make hot chocolate using ancient mayan processes too! Joslyn, the instructor was super knowledgeable, and very funny and warm and made the experience an A+. Would recommend!
So much fun! Jocelyn was funny, very informative and made this a great experience! We had a wonderful group of people also!
