Bath: Local Pubs & Historic Sights Walking Tour (3h)

James was a fountain knowledge about Bath! We really appreciated his passion for his city! The pubs made it entertaining and a nice walking break. If you want to learn about Bath’s history and hit a few pubs try this tour with James.

James was a fantastic tour guide! He tailored the experience to the insanely hot day and mobility needs of our party. We never felt rushed at a pub or historical site and he gave the perfect amount of information for things to be interesting but not boring. James is full of knowledge and delivers it perfectly! Highly recommend this tour!

If you're like me and knew next to nothing about Bath upon arrival, this is a fantastic tour option that isn't as booked as others. James was a very knowledgeable guide and took our small posse all town, witnessing all of it's historic importance and regaling us with tales of yore. And of course, stopping at some fantastic local pubs and bars in between was quite the highlight as well! If you enjoy a well made cask ale and plenty of stories to go with it, this tour gives you a proper taste of what Bath is really about.

James is an excellent guide who took us around the city and whilst doing so told us about the history of the city along with the architecture that is so unique to Bath. He asked us at the start of the tour of our interests and expertly tailored the day to ensure that we were happy. We stopped off in a few local bars on route and sampled some lovely local beers and a cider (as it was a very hot day). He has a great sense of humour and we loved our time with him. If you want to have a fun time finding out about the city of Bath, this tour comes highly recommended.

Excellent tour. James was personable, friendly, and keen to understand our expectations and tailor the time spent to ensure my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the excursion through the city center. We took his tour on the first day of our 3 day visit to Bath which was a great way to get oriented. Not only did James educate us on the history of Bath, but he also gave us insight into present-day dynamics of the city including recommendations for dining and cultural events during our stay. It was an immersive 3 hour experience that included stops along the way to sample local brews and cider. Very glad we chose this tour. Time well spent.

This tour was great. We visited really nice places around the city with a lot of historical context from our guide James, Drank great beer and cider from cool pubs, Took nice photos during the tour. James is a great guide, we enjoyed it very much. I recommend it 100%. Also, we did it at 1pm so after that we had time to meet the Roman Baths.

We had an amazing time on this tour with James! He was a very engaging guide who made the history of Bath incredibly interesting and easy to follow. The tour included stops at three different pubs, where James selected a great variety of local beers and ciders for us to try. It was a perfect way to experience the local atmosphere while learning about the city. Walking all over Bath at the start of our vacation was a brilliant move. It really helped us get our bearings and learn the layout of the city, which made navigating on our own over the next few days so much easier. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting for the first time!
