Bath: Guided Walking Tour with Beer Tastings

We were incredibly lucky to have Gez all to ourselves for what turned into a surprise private tour and what an experience it was! Gez is not only extremely knowledgeable about beer, but we were thrilled to discover that he is also an amazing brewer with his own beer on tap in Bath! He walked us through the entire brewing process, explained the different styles of beer, and shared how various ingredients influence the flavor and character of each brew. His passion and knowledge made the experience both fun and fascinating. But the tour was so much more than just beer! Gez also took us around Bath to some incredible historical sites and shared fascinating stories and history along the way. The combination of great beer, local history, and Gez’s personality made this such a memorable experience. I cannot recommend the Bath Beer Tour with Gez enough! We would definitely recommend this tour, especially if you’re new to Bath. Not only is it great for beer lovers, but it’s also a brilliant introduction to the city and its surrounding streets. My wife and I met up with Gez on Sunday afternoon, and he greeted us straight away with the first beer of the day! He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and more than happy to answer our endless questions (sorry, Gez!). We visited several great spots and got lucky finding tables at each one. Gez effortlessly paired local historic insight with genuine, first-hand brewing expertise. He even threw in some fun multiple-choice quiz questions along the way, though my guessing left a lot to be desired! The walking pace was very relaxed, with plenty of breaks and stops. Gez even brought along a cooler bag of beers to sample while sharing stories about the spots we were standing in. The time flew by, and we enjoyed every minute. A real gem of a tour. We will definitely book again next time we’re in the area. Thanks, Gez!

A very worthwhile and unique tour in Bath! Gez is very engaging and informative and we loved learning about the different local beers we were trying and the different historic spots around the city, we learned so much more than we expected! You don’t have to love beer to enjoy the tour but it’s a must for any craft beer lover as you get to try a few different styles. Very fun, casual vibe and no need to choose between history or a cool pub! We booked direct & did go back to a couple of the pubs in the tour for drinks & food - definitely recommend!

Jez was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and also laid back. We felt like we could take our time and enjoy ourselves. Great choices of pubs to stop at, as well as interesting history that you don’t hear on every other tour, both about the history of beer in the UK and the history of Bath. We thoroughly enjoyed it!

Just back from Bath Beer tour. Gez was an outstanding guide-has a wealth of knowledge about beer and its relationship to Bath. Stopped at three great pubs and had a couple beers along the way. Have mich more respect for British brewing and beer! Ended the tour at the Crescent. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable tour! We were looking for something different to do to experience Bath and found this to be the perfect blend of history, interesting facts and yummy beer! The beers are local which we loved (we went back into one of the pubs after for more) but you also learn about brewing history & processes whilst getting stories and context of bath along the way. Gez was the most engaging & knowledgeable tour guide & the beers selected were a great mix so you’re getting a proper tasting selection - it’s also interesting to learn about the beer from a brewer. If you’re looking for a different introduction to bath or just enjoy beer and history, I absolutely recommend!
