Itinerary
Join a guided tour led by an expert multilingual guide and discover the main attractions of Bari. Jump aboard a fun bike-rickshaw and admire wonderful sites, such as the Basilica of Saint Nicholas, the Cathedral of San Sabino, the Swabian Castle, the Teathers, and some of the most picturesque and characteristic corners of the city center, such as the Fish Market and the small alleys where you can still see women preparing fresh pasta today. Explore the most authentical Bari, meet local people, and discover the fascinating and ancient traditions of this city in the South of Italy. Finish the tour tasting delicious home made italian ice cream.
Basilica of Saint Nicholas is an important pilgrimage destination both for Roman Catholics and Orthodox Christians and one of the most important attraction
The cathedral is the seat of the Archbishop of Bari-Bitonto, dedicated to Saint Sabinus, a bishop of Canosa, whose relics were brought here in the 9th century. Here you will appreciate underground roman walls named Succorpo.
The piazza has always represented the heart of commercial and administrative activities in the city due to the presence of the city market (not currently in this area) and of the palazzo Sedile, which is the historical reference point of Bari city Hall. Today, for the citizens of Bari it is an irreplaceable meeting point.
Piazza Ferrarese has always been one of the access points to the old town which, with its narrow streets, alleys and small openings, extends from Piazza Ferrarese - Piazza Mercantile up to the Normanno -Svevo castle. During recent restoration, which involved not only the square but also the surrounding buildings, a short stretch of the ancient Via Appia – Traiana came to light, built by the Romans in the early second century A.D.
The Norman Swebian Castle hosts the collection of plaster casts and temporary art exhibitions.

Iris was an excellent guide and we enjoyed the tour.
A fabulous 2 hour ride through Bari, seeing places we would have missed travelling on foot. Elanora’s commentary was brilliant and very informative, a great way to learn about the history of the town! To watch the orecchiette being made in the street was amazing, and to visit the different theatres, fish market, castle and churches….. just wow!!!! 😍 (The stop for gelato was a nice surprise too!!) As they say in Bari, “ sciamaninne !”
Was very nice, were with t family and friends, federique can tell t nice with a lot of passion for her city
Camilla was fantastic on our Bari rickshaw tour. She brought the city to life with her stories , showed us key sites like the opera house and St Nicholas Cathedral, and made the whole experience fun and personal. Despite a wheel malfunction, she quickly secured another rickshaw and kept everything on track. Her professionalism and warmth made our day. Highly recommended.
Chairs was amazing. We got the history of the area. She answered my many random questions. The ride was pretty smooth considering cobblestones. The day we were there is was very humid. So thankful to see the sites riding.
An absolutely great experience; the guide, a young student, was absolutely motivated and showed us a lot of the city; additionally, there was an audio system. We were picked up at the harbor upon request and dropped off there again as well. The price-performance ratio is simply top-notch; I would recommend it to everyone. There is also a tuk-tuk ride, but with the rickshaw you can get into even the smallest alley and see the most of the particularly beautiful old town. Do not book the tourist train under any circumstances; compared to this great tour, that was a waste of money. Many thanks, Claudio, for the great tour this morning; everything worked out perfectly. We wish you all the best for your future and will definitely recommend you to others. Best regards, Nils and Katharina
Company was very disorganized. We had a 10am tour and they changed it the night before to 11. We got there at 11 and we had to wait 20 minutes to start. Tour guide was great but the company booked to many people and was disorganized .

If I could give 10 stars I would. Such a great way to see an overview of Bari. Nice stops and very informative. Saw as much on this 90-minute tour as you would in a 3-hour walking tour and much more comfortable! Great guides. A+++

Ci fa molto piacere sapere che consiglierebbe questa esperienza ad altri viaggiatori. Speriamo di rivederla presto a Bari! Cordiali saluti, Velo Service Team
Our Guide Silvia was excellent! She speaks fluent German and knows a lot about Bari. She is so warmhearted and friendly, authentic and emphatic that it feels like a friend is showing you the city of Bari. First I was skeptical about taking a Rikschatour, felt a bit too touristy 😬 But at the age of 61 it’s so nice to fully concentrate on the tour without hurting feet or not having to watch out for traffic on your bike. Book a tour there! It is phenomenal! 🙋♀️
