Banff National Park Big Canoe Tour

Loved our guides! They were knowledgeable and friendly. The views were beautiful and a great way to see the park.

Grace did a wonderful job, guiding us and teaching us all about the area of Banff as we paddled along the Bow River. Very relaxing and a fun experience! Peaceful to be on the river!

What an experience! We arrived at Banff Canoe Club, really easy to find and a short walk from our hotel. We were greeted warmly by the staff and introduced to Amy who was to be our guide, a really passionate and funny lady. After a quick safety run through, a huge rumble of thunder rang out and the sky's darkened - trip cancelled as lightning forecast!. So we instantly re- booked for the following day. This time was go time, with around 11 people (3 mixed groups) all in a single canoe. We travelled up the Bow river with Amy giving a enormous amount of information and history of the river and its bearing on Banff. We did around 2.5k up and back down the river seeing some amazing views with Amy always ready to answer questions. Only shame was one of the groups who paddled about 10 strokes between them and who were more intrested in filming themselves for Snap Chat! We felt for Amy as our group really enjoyed the trip, even if we did do 80% of the paddling between us! A great trip and recommend, just be wary of people who don't paddle!

We had a wonderful experience with canoe rentals and exploring Bow river. Neither of us had canoeing experience so it was great practice and easy to do activity with guidance provided. Especially like to give kudos to all staff. All of them are helpful, gentle and very sweet in communication. I would recommend this experience because as compared to Lake Moraine or Lake Emerald canoes there is not long wait time, prices are reasonable and calm water for beginners.

We went on a canoe tour with Meagan and expectations were succeeded! She was so knowledgeable throughout with the different animals and stories of Banff, our highlight was the loon bird call she did!!! The views were breathtaking and a must do if your in banff.

We had such a fun time on the canoe tour! You actually row and help move the canoe up and down the river so it isn’t just you sitting there! It was a very enjoyable experience with beautiful views! We rowed upstream first and then the ending was a nice relaxing float with the current! I’m so glad we did this and they even did a little fun educational spiel before we got in the boat which was nice! Highly recommend this activity on your trip to Banff!

Great scenery and our guide Megan was AMAZING! She was passionate and extremely knowledgeable not to mention she was just the sweetest (kudos to Megan’s parents)! Highly recommend and if you can request Megan!!

My friends and I had a blast! Our guide Tom was amazing! We were all laughing and enjoying the scenery. Unfortunately we didn't see many animals but it was still beautiful. Highly recommend. Ask for Tom.
