Description
This hands-on class with Chef Jesse teaches the art of fresh mozzarella from scratch. You’ll start with simple ingredients — whole milk, salt and water — and learn how to transform them into tender, stretchy mozzarella using traditional cheese-making techniques. Chef Jesse walks you through heating, curd formation and the satisfying process of pulling and shaping fresh cheese. Once your mozzarella is ready, turn it into a classic Italian dish. Slice ripe heirloom tomatoes, layer them with fresh basil and your handmade cheese, then finish the Caprese salad with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic glaze. Hosted at a trendy Baltimore venue, this beginner-friendly experience includes expert instruction, all ingredients and a fresh Caprese meal you’ll enjoy at the end of class.
