Aviation Discovery Experience at Shannon Aviation Museum

We visited this great place as a family, my wife myself and our 11 year son, who is an aviation enthusiast. We were guided by young Jack, who is extremely knowledgeable. The museum is full of interesting artifacts, and Jack knows the story of each one. he is also a great teacher for the flight simulator. We all enjoyed the tour, and our son really loved the experience. A very good place to visit!

Spent over 2 hours in the company of the wonderfully informative Jane, She has a passion for aviation and is at ease passing on her knowledge. Any questions were answered and the time genuinely flew in her company. Lots of audio prompts throughout the exhibits. Lots of small aircraft and sections of larger commercial liners on display. Would genuinely recommend to anyone interested in aviation or history.

The flight simulator and the museum both brilliant. The flight assistant Adam was brilliant in explaining and helping.

Recommend the 737 experience! I visited today with my 3 kids aged 16, 11 and 3! All ages thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it! Huge thanks to Adam for the 737 experience with my son Lucas who is a nervous flyer! He's not anymore after today! He had so much fun and we all learned so much! Thanks to Jack for the discovery tour! Very informative! All staff were so nice. Special mention to Jane and sarah also. Thanks again. Highly recommend all to visit here! You won't be sorry!! I would have added more photos but didn't want to ruin it for everyone else. I have about 150 photos🤣

Great, knowledgeable staff. Great to talk with others trying to preserve aviation history. Very friendly and helpful people. Will definitely go back.

Really enjoyed our tour. Jack was exceptional and a wealth of knowledge. He ably answered every question my 12 year old had. As a special treat we got to meet a commercial pilot, who also engaged really well with the kids! Very many thanks for a great morning

This was my third time at the museum and my second time in the simulator. It is a great experience. The staff are fantastic

It‘s a small museum with a variety of different kind of aged airplanes. We had a nice guided tour from a young fellow. He had a hard tour with some older flight „afficionados“ :-).

From start to finish it was an interesting and informative tour of a fantastic Aviation Gem the staff were friendly and accommodating and interacted well with everyone on the tour.My Daughters loved the 737 flight sim one of them completing a barrel roll which made them laugh but unnerved me slightly as IL be in one next week hopefully without my Daughter flying 😁
