Dr. Maura is the most excellent tour guide we've had after 55 years of travel around the world. I left the US in 1971 for Japan and now my husband and I are both 76 so we are serious! Dr Maura is intelligent, she is compassionate, she has a doctorate in art and knows everything about the beautiful history, cathedral architecture, paintings and sculptures in Assisi and probably all of Italy. Maybe even France and other countries - ask her. Maybe she knows all the food too. We didn't ask for a food tour but ask her! Dr Maura is passionate from her heart for all the beauty of Italian culture and she will share it with you. She can tailor your tour perfectly just for you. Tell her what you want and Dr Maura will make it happen. She is amazing and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I want to return to Italy just to be with her.

Maura is wonderful. I have visited Assisi several times but this was the first time I really understood the history. Maura kept the tour fun and informative. We loved the time we spent with her. We took a couples tour of Assisi with Maura. She was superb. Starting from the top of the town, she took us through the beautiful neighborhoods and introduced us to some of the locals along the way. As we made our way down the hill toward the Basilica of St. Francis, she pointed out all the points of interest, including the best spots for taking pictures. Here knowledge of and passion for Assisi are unmatched and she had us fully prepared for our trip through the Basilica. Maura even suggested options for lunch and then made reservations for us. By the way, her suggestion of Re Tartu agli Orti was spot on as the food, service, and atmosphere were top-notch. This group of tourists gives Maura two thumbs up—-way, way up!!

Maura provide two tours to our group of 7. She was friendly & extremely knowledgeable. She is a great storyteller and our tone with her went by quickly. We toured Assisi one day and Perugia the next - both were decimating & beautifully explained to us. Highly recommend!
