Itinerary
A sobering reminder of the realities of war, the Arlington National Cemetery is a beautiful tribute to over 400,000 service members and their families buried there. Learn about the more famous tombs, like that of President John F. Kennedy. We’ll even explore a few surprising graves, like that of famed boxer Joe Louis. The cemetery is even home to memorials commemorating the disasters of space shuttles Columbia and Challenger. Along with a few carefully selected residents like Audie Murphy , your engaging guide will take you to the Tomb of the Unknowns where you may even witness a Changing of the Guard ceremony. Walk these hallowed grounds to learn how the home of Robert E. Lee, whose Arlington House we’ll visit, became one of the country’s largest national cemeteries.

Had a great experience with Maribeth - she is excellent! I’ve been to Arlington before but wanted a guide to introduce my grandson to the Cemetery. Maribeth did an excellent job and answered lots of questions - I saw some things new even to me!

Subject: Outstanding Arlington National Cemetery Tour with Ryan Dear Team, I wanted to share our appreciation for the guided walking tour of Arlington National Cemetery that we recently experienced during our visit to Washington, DC. Ryan was an exceptional guide—knowledgeable, engaging, and deeply respectful. His storytelling and historical insights brought the cemetery’s history to life, giving us a far greater appreciation of the people, events, and sacrifices represented there. A major highlight was the Changing of the Guard ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Ryan ensured we had an excellent viewing location and provided fascinating background on the traditions and significance of the ceremony, making the experience even more meaningful. Throughout the tour, Ryan answered questions thoughtfully and shared details we would never have discovered on our own. We left with a deeper understanding of Arlington National Cemetery and the remarkable stories it preserves. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Washington, DC. Thank you, Ryan, for providing such an insightful, respectful, and unforgettable experience. Kind regards, Brendan & Darlene Perth, Western Australia, Australia
MB was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable and full of interesting tidbits:)
Excellent tour of Arlington Cemetary. Annemarie was an excellent guide extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Would highly recommend.
Honoring the sacrifices many have made for our country in the name of freedom and democracy is the very foundation of Veterans Day. Today our tour with Allen M made today a memorable salute to service and sacrifice. I felt Allen himself was honoring those who served and died. Thank you for going out of your way to help us deeply understand. —it meant so much and truly brightened the day. Allen was very knowledgeable and personable.
Allen was a very knowledgeable and patient guide. He took us to many gravesites that we would have missed on our own and got us front row center for the Changing of the Guard. We were the only ones at Kennedys' grave also! Highly recommend this tour! He also gave us packets with information about DC sites and places to eat. Above and beyond service. Thank you Allen!!!
