Walking Tours Antigua
Meeting point
Look for a guide wearing a navy NY hat, his name is Choko and he is excited to meet you!
Description
Most visitors see Antigua's famous arch and colorful facades, but few truly uncover the stories hidden inside. This immersive small-group walking tour goes beyond the typical photo ops, combining deep local history, engaging storytelling, and exclusive entrance into Antigua's iconic historic ruins.
Led by an INGUAT-certified local guide with years of experience leading groups for world-class travel brands, this experience offers a noticeably superior level of depth, fluent-level English, and thoughtful insight that standard budget tours simply cannot match.
While competitors offer basic scripts, this premium experience includes entry to historic ruins, allowing you to step inside Antigua's complex past.
Designed around a "friends first, guides second" philosophy, this experience skips rehearsed scripts in favour of dynamic conversation, humour, and rich context, leaving you with a profound understanding of Guatemala and actionable insider tips for the rest of your stay.

You can tell that he truly cares about his community and takes pride in sharing Antigua beyond the typical tourist experience. His knowledge, personality, and strong sense of community made the tour feel personal and authentic. We learned a lot and had a great time!

Best Experience!
★★★★★
Absolutely outstanding experience with Walking Tours Antigua! From start to finish, this felt like so much more than a typical walking tour. Choko is an exceptional guide — incredibly knowledgeable, warm, funny and genuinely passionate about Antigua and Guatemala.
What really made the experience special was the way Choko brought the city to life through stories, local knowledge and personal experiences. We discovered fascinating history, hidden corners and details we would have completely missed exploring on our own. It felt less like being on a tour and more like exploring Antigua with a very knowledgeable local friend.
The tour was relaxed, authentic and full of those little moments that make a trip memorable. Choko also went above and beyond with recommendations for food, places to visit and things to do during our stay.
If you’re visiting Antigua Guatemala, don’t just walk around the city — experience it with Walking Tours Antigua and Choko. We couldn’t recommend them highly enough!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're so happy you enjoyed exploring Antigua with Choko.
One of the things we're most passionate about is creating tours that feel like you're discovering the city with a friend, so it's fantastic to hear that's exactly how the experience felt. Every group is different, which is why Choko loves adapting the conversation to what guests are most interested in rather than following a script.
We're delighted you came away with a deeper understanding of Antigua's history, and we really appreciate your recommendation. It was a pleasure to have you on the tour, and we hope to welcome you back to Guatemala one day!
