Hi Alanna, I’m honestly shocked by the review you left us, especially considering the experience we provided you. Pixieset shows us when photos are downloaded, and our records show that you have downloaded your images. Our FAQ clearly states that guests should allow up to three weeks for their photos. You received yours within six days. The standard price for a turtle tour on Rarotonga is $150, and some operators don’t include photos at all. We’re also the only operator offering a beach portrait session as part of the experience. We put a huge amount of effort into these tours. We’re a small team that has been running since 2019. We deliberately keep our groups to a maximum of six guests, while other operators can take up to 70 people at a time. We’ve made a conscious decision to keep the experience small and personal, and the photos are something we provide because we want our guests to have something special to remember the experience by. If there was something you were genuinely unhappy with, I would have much rather you contacted us directly. I would have preferred to refund you personally than have you leave a one star review that can seriously impact a small local business. For us, this isn’t just another review. Our team of locals behind this business work hard to provide a good experience for every guest, and a one star review can have a real impact on a business this small. Kia Orana April, I’m sorry to read your review. We were ready for your tour, and six other guests waited over 45 minutes for you to arrive. I also called and messaged your mobile number several times as well as messaged you on the Viator platform, you messaged back saying you didn't have access to your phone until you're back at your accommodation. You also thought your booking was on the 19th but you booked for the 20th. I have screenshots showing the messages you received and replied to; I have forwarded them to Viator/Tripadvisor to show we made sufficient contact. Regarding the price, TripAdvisor is an American company, so the site automatically shows amounts in USD. Like with any online shopping, you switch the currency to your own country’s ie. NZD. Our pricing is clearly listed at the time of booking. There are a lot of turtle tour operators on Rarotonga: 24 to be exact, and sometimes rumours get spread around.
