Our trip was great. The bus was very comfortable, smooth transfers with the boats. Heather, our guide made sure everyone was comfortable and felt cared for. The view of Amalfi coast was amazing. I definitely recommend this tour
The trip was amazing, well organized and Heather was lovely.
The Amalfi Coast is beautiful, but I personally would NOT recommend this specific tour. The bus drivers was nice and made us feel safe, but the tour felt rushed and not well organized. Honestly, it felt like you were mostly paying for the bus ride to the coast and back. The tour is almost 14 hours long, with close to 4 hours on the bus each way, and the bus has no bathroom. They do stop for bathroom breaks, but with so many other buses stopping at the same place, 15 minutes is barely enough for 40+ people. We also had an unpleasant experience with our guide, Heather. The bathroom on the boat was closed, so we had to find another restroom and ended up arriving only about 2 minutes after the meeting time. Heather was extremely mean and spoke to us in a condescending way in front of everyone, which was honestly embarrassing. I understand there are laws/restrictions around where buses can stop and how long they can stay, but I feel like the company should figure out those logistics without inconveniencing customers, especially on such a long trip. Another customer even came up to us afterward and said the way she spoke to us wasn’t nice. I understand needing to stay on schedule and tour guides having to manage everything, but the situation could have been handled much better. Like this was REALLY upsetting. Also, having paid so much, you’d expect some sort of convenience—like not having to wait in long lines, reduced wait times, or something that makes paying for a tour worthwhile. Nope. They take you on a public boat, you wait 10-15 mins while they hand out tickets, and then wait another 30–45 minutes in the heat with the crowd to get on the boat. The boats are also extremely crowded. Honestly, you might be better off paying a little extra for a private ferry. Out of an almost 14-hour tour, you only spend around 3 hours on the actual coast—about 2 hours in Positano and a little over an hour in Amalfi. The rest is commuting, waiting for people, waiting for boats, and standing in lines. By the time you try to find a resturant, get lunch and walk around a little, it’s time to leave. However, Having the bus definitely makes getting there easier, so if you have no idea how to get from Rome to the Amalfi Coast and don’t mind paying extra for the convenience, this may work for you. But if you actually want to enjoy the coast, I would not recommend it.
Rob was a was an amazing tour guide! He had so much knowledge about sites and the history. His personality was warm and friendly and made everyone feel comfortable. He did his best to ensure the safety and experience of everyone. Most of the day is traveling. Beautiful views and sites but not enough time at stops if you want a true Amalfi coast experience. It was wonderful to get some insight of the beautiful coast.
Our guide Marisa was awesome and really helped give great insight from the moment we got on the bus and all the way through. She made us understand what we were looking at, as well as gave ideas of what we could do with our time so that we got the most out of it! I would strongly recommend this trip!
Had a great experience with Rob on our trip to Amalfi & Positano! He provided us with recommendations for our starting point in Rome and the coast. He also gave specific and clear details of our itinerary. Our experience was truly an experience as we had time to experience two different places along the coast. We swam in Positano & ate in Amalfi with the limited time that we had but we enjoyed it as much as we could even in the immense heat. I’d recommend if you have limited time and would like to experience the beauty of the coast! Memories were made!
The overall details of the trip was well executed. When they say be on time please be on time. No confusions about the details at all, so A+. However, due to accidents and traffic lur time were cut short at 2 of the locations. our tour guide Errica was great and provided a wealth of history of Italy. She made sure we were out despite the delays. By the way way we did not select the book trip. The trip was Limoncello, Positano and Sorrento.
I found the experience described when booking to be extremely misleading. The booking says “Amalfi coast cruise” but In reality it is just the ferry you take with 350 other people. It is first in first served. It also mentioned a “limoncello tasting”, but the reality was they walked us into a limoncello store and the people working there are constantly giving tastings to any person who comes in. The guide was nice, the meeting point and pick ups on time, however, due to how misleading the description was, I would not recommend this tour to anyone.
Hi, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you appreciated the guide and that the meeting point and pick-ups were well organised. We’re sorry the tour description did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate your comments regarding the cruise and limoncello tasting. We hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable experience in the future.
It was a very enjoyable experience for getting a glimpse of the Amalfi Coast. The view from the sea is magnificent. We had a guide named Heather who was simply amazing! She was fun, explained things clearly, and provided important information for the visits. Our driver, Francesco, was also fantastic.
Fabulous day! Our guide Patrizio and driver Marco were wonderful. The whole day was very well organised with plenty of time to explore both Positano and Sorrento. 10/10 😊
