After viewing the giant stone carvings, sitting down for a warm cup of local tea with a nice mountain view was lovely. There are a few small local vendors selling hot drinks and snacks right nearby. It made the short trip feel cozy and very welcoming.
This place is so cool and totally different from usual ruins! The stone sculptures carved directly into the mountain are massive and look incredible up close. It’s a great mix of modern art and ancient culture that completely exceeded my expectations.
Clean air, massive artwork, and a passionate local guide. Highly recommend taking a half day to check out Apukunaq Tianan!
there was none, they had to cancel but it was not their fault as there was no one else to do the tour
You don’t need to spend 12 hours on a bus to see something amazing. This half-day tour delivers maximum value in just a few hours. Highly recommended!👌
The atmosphere up there is very quiet and peaceful compared to the busy city center. Our guide was awesome—instead of just taking photos, he explained the stories behind the puma and the cyclops carvings, which made us appreciate the art so much more. It takes about 1 to 2 hours to walk around and see everything without any rush.
Everyone talks about the views, but for me, it was the silence. Just a short drive from the chaotic streets of Cusco, and suddenly you’re in this quiet mountain space where the only sound is the wind whistling through giant stone ears. It feels deeply peaceful, almost like a spiritual sanctuary.
