Good way to see the sits & hop on & off

Good way to see the sites. Hop on and off is very convenient although we did not do that. Seating was tight but we sat in separate rows so that helped.

Depends on what you’re looking for

The trolley ride itself was fine if you are looking for a quick overview and a passing by of sites. I am glad that prior to this we had gone to see actual sites we were interested in, such as the Paul Revere house, Old South Meetinghouse, and Old State House and did those as individual tours. Also I did not realize that this bus tour is the same as the hop on and hop off instead you just stay on. It is also a recorded narration, so there is no interaction with the bus driver. The recording was clear and informative, but if you are looking for a “fun” tour, this isn’t it. We enjoyed it, as we were exhausted from having walked everywhere prior, but if you are looking for an “experience”, I’d recommend going to the sites yourself for individual tours, especially the sites I mention above. I also highly recommend going to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum.

Not a notable account of a great city

This is a very light history of the city. I could barely hear the mumbling few sentences that the tour guide/ driver said. The plus side was the trolley is very comfortable and you it was a ok experience but nothing to rave about !

Operator response

Hi Natasha, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We sincerely apologize for any shortcomings you encountered during the tour. The concerns you described are certainly not typical of the experience we strive to provide, and we have not received similar feedback from other guests. We would appreciate it if you could email me directly at (cityviewmike@gmail.com) with any additional details you can provide about the driver, so we can better identify what occurred and address the matter appropriately. Your feedback is important to us, and we appreciate your help in allowing us to make any necessary corrections. Many thanks, Mike T

Great tour

We upgraded to the on and off option and I was glad we did. We were luckily enough to have some trolley’s that had the audio recorded info and some that had individual tour guide speak of some of the history.

It was a great open air trolley ride all around Boston. Our guide and driver, Cindy knew all the history and interesting facts about Boston. Highly recommend this tour

Awesome tour with Cindy

We had a great ride with Cindy today! We caught her trolley after having stopped to check out the Navy Yard and had planned to hop off again to have lunch and explore more neighborhoods along the way. But we opted to stay on with Cindy for the rest of the tour and do our exploring afterward! She is so knowledgeable about Boston and has the greatest sense of humor - thanks for a great afternoon!

Our tour guide was Cindy and she was the best. She knew all the history, buildings, statues and had wonderful stories and facts. We would go again in a heartbeat with Cindy.

Family trip

Wonderful and informative. The pick up point was convenient. The staff took our wheelchair and kept it for us until we returned. Everyone was friendly and attentive. We brought our niece from Morocco on this tour.

Average tour

The narration was prerecorded and seem to often not be at the correct time to match the tour. The driver was good. But the tour was just average. I would definitely rather take a tour with live narration.

Operator response

Hi Mason, We're sorry to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. Approximately 10% of our tours feature GPS-triggered narration that has been professionally produced in a recording studio, complete with professional voice talent and sound effects. This narration follows our company tour script and highlights more than 80 points of interest throughout Boston. We also offer tours with live narrators, who often expand beyond the scripted material by sharing additional stories, local insights, and historical details. You're always welcome to request either a GPS-narrated or live-guided tour when you check in at Trolley Stop #1, and we'll do our best to accommodate your preference. Thank you for your feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to provide you with a tour that better matches your expectations on your next visit. Very truly, Mike T
