Amazing small group tour with the best guide.

To just say this tour was amazing is an understatement. Our guide Jim Divine, made this an exceptional experience. You can really tell he loves what he does. Not only with everything to do with Outlander, but Scotland and Scottish history. He is so knowledgeable and made plenty of "ninja" stops along the way for photos. He timed everything perfectly to avoid huge crowds so that our group got the best experience. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Jim.

Outstanding 4-Day Outlander Tour with "James the Divine"

Our 4-day Outlander Tour far exceeded our expectations, largely thanks to our guide, James Divine, whose knowledge, customer service, and storytelling ability shone through. Beyond seeing Outlander sites, my husband and I gained a much deeper understanding of Scottish history (including the Jacobites and Mary Queen of Scots), geography, and culture (Highlanders). Highlights are almost too many to list. A few include the scenic drive through Glencoe (magical misty green mountains), the Culloden Battlefield, Hopetoun House (site of many Outlander filming locations), and Clava Cairns. This is a small bus tour, so the guide can reach more out-of-the-way sites that large tour buses can't. We had a friendly group of 15. The seats are a bit tight. Seat belt extenders are available if needed. Rabbie's will book your accommodations for a few extra dollars, which was well worth it. Be sure to mention any mobility/disability limitations.

AMAZING 4 DAY OUTLANDER TOUR!

My friend and I had THE best 4 day Outlander Tour! Our driver, Jim Divine, was fantastic and his knowledge and interaction with us made the trip so enjoyable. We traveled from Texas to do this and have been looking forward to it for so long. You have a treasure of an employee in Jim Divine! I HIGHLY recommend this trip especially if you're an Outlander fan like me!

Amazing Outlander Tour!

We had such a great experience on Rabbie’s 4-day, 3-night Outlander tour of Scotland. It was a busy four days, but honestly, with everything we managed to see and do, I don’t think there’s any other way they could fit so much into the itinerary. Our guide, Sean Gordon, was fantastic. He’s a retired teacher and incredibly knowledgeable, and he had so many interesting details and stories to share with us along the way. He really added to the experience and made the history come alive. Of course, the castles were pretty amazing to see, but being an Outlander fan, getting to visit some of the filming locations was a real highlight for me. Seeing Lallybroch in person was definitely one of those “wow, I’m actually here!” moments. Culloden Moor was a completely different experience. I found it quite emotional standing there and thinking about what had happened on that ground. The light rain that day somehow added to the atmosphere and made it feel even more poignant. One of my favourite stops was Culross, which was used as the fictional town of Crainsmuir. I absolutely loved walking around there and recognizing places from the show. Hopetoun House was another highlight for me — it was beautiful and such an interesting place to visit. There was a lot packed into four days, and yes, there were times when we felt like we were moving pretty quickly. But when I look back at everything we saw, I really don’t know how they could have done it any other way. We got to experience so much of Scotland in a relatively short amount of time. Sean was a big part of what made the tour so enjoyable, and we came home with some wonderful memories. If you’re an Outlander fan, I would absolutely recommend this tour. And even if you’re not, it’s a great way to see parts of Scotland that you might otherwise miss.

Great tour

A great tour for Outlander and Scotland fans. Very good price-performance ratio. Definitely book the admissions and overnight stays as well. A lot depends on the driver and here we were really lucky with Graham: entertaining, funny, and always had a great story ready.

Not Enough Stars!!

There simply are not enough stars to describe how much I enjoyed the 4 Day Outlander Trail tour. Simon, our guide, was the quintessential Scotsman and shared his abundant knowledge of all things Outlander and Scottish history with such generosity and humor. I never imagined seeing so many recognizable filming sites - it felt like a dream. Simon took us off the beaten path, from Edinburgh to Inverness, and so many stops in between that I’ve lost count. The accommodations were lovely and convenient to local eateries. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and looked after every step of the way. Scotland is simply stunning and I would do it all again tomorrow if I could!

Excellent!

Excellent tour guide is Lizzie! One of the best I’ve been on, ever! She is extremely knowledgeable, is a wealth of Scottish history and sprinkles in stories and music to match. We all gladly went on walks in the rain and she rearranged some stops to take into account the weather.

Trip of a lifetime! Thank you wonderful Jim Divine!!

We've just done the 4 day Outlander tour from Edinburgh with Jim Divine. I wish there was an option to give it ten stars! We have really had the most fantastic time. As Outlander fans, this was definitely a trip of a lifetime. What really made it so fantastic was being with a great bunch of people in our small group and our guide Jim who is just such a lovely man and made everyone feel so comfortable and looked after. His passion for this beautiful place really shines. I loved all of his interesting stories and history knowledge. He really is the kind of person you could just listen to all day. And we did! Haha! I didn't get out my kindle to read once because I was just so fascinated by the tales of Scottish history.  My highlights were walking around the battlefield at Culloden which was hauntingly beautiful and of course seeing the locations from Outlander, Lallybroch, Blackness Castle, and Falkland. Also loved seeing all the Highland coos. What a treat. I would recommend to bring a decent lightweight rain coat and some waterproof trousers to throw on because the Highlands are a different climate every five minutes. We've had sun, rain, hail all within the same day.  The accommodation in Inverness and Perth were great. Good breakfasts and friendly staff. I loved all the places we stopped for lunch. I was a little worried about this part because I have some weird dietary restrictions but there were always plenty of options on the menus. My mum is a little unsteady on her feet at times and there were a few little walks and steps but she managed and only had to do what she was comfortable with. It never felt too much.  I really can't recommend this more highly. I think it should come with a health warning that you'll never want to leave Scotland. The only downside was that I touched every 4000 year old stone I could get my hands on and still seem to be solidly in 2026! We are already planning our next Rabbies Tour for next year. Thank you Jim, everyone in our group, and Rabbies for a wonderful experience. We loved every minute. Michelle and Sheila :)
