The Garden Route is a little piece of heaven tucked away on the East Coast of South Africa. Our 4 day tour incorporates the highlights of the area along with the splendid scenery. This is perfect for those who don’t have much time but wish to experience the famous Garden Route along with many of its activities!

Itinerary
Cango Caves
Depart Cape Town at 6am and head up to Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo semi desert area, which also is the ostrich capital of the World. This drive follows the world-famous Route 62 which is the longest wine route in the world! We’ll visit the Cango Caves for a tour through this magnificent cave system and also visit an ostrich farm for a closer look at this enormous bird. Tonight, we’ll stay in Oudtshoorn and have a delicious ostrich for dinner. (Dinner)
Garden Route
Leaving Oudtshoorn we'll cross the mountain range to the coast and the gorgeous Garden Route. Our first stop is the scenic 'map of Africa' lookout in the Wilderness and then we're off to Knysna (consistently voted as South Africa's favourite town). Here we will visit the Knysna Heads, Waterfront, markets and explore thoroughly. After Knysna we pass through Plettenberg Bay where we overnight in Storms River Village
Bloukrans Bridge
The magnificent Tsitsikamma National Park awaits us this morning. Thundering waves, thick forest, plentiful birdlife and otters, this National Park has it all! Walk the coastal route to the hanging bridge over Storms River Mouth and experience what makes this the most scenic park in South Africa From the Eastern Cape, we head back towards the Garden Route and to the World’s highest Bungy Bridge at Bloukrans (plenty of time to jump for those thrill seekers). This 216-m high bungy is a true marvel to behold, even for those that have a fear of heights! Our journey leads us to the Garden Route Game Lodge where we will also overnight in the luxury accommodation. We will do a late afternoon safari drive where we will have the opportunity to view rhino, lion, buffalo, cheetah and many varieties of antelope species. A sumptuous and varied buffet dinner is served at the lodge and is yet another highlight! (Breakfast, Dinner)
Hermanus
We start the day early with a morning safari drive to see some of those animals that we did not see the previous evening. we head towards Hermanus and the best land-based whale watching site in the world (June-December). The Southern Right whales are making a dramatic comeback after nearly becoming extinct a mere 50 years ago. We return to Cape Town late afternoon via the stunning False Bay coastline where with luck we’ll see some dolphins to welcome us home. (Breakfast)

Amazing experience!
Our whole 4 day experience was amazing from start to finish! Our guide Mawande was great fun and was very knowledgeable. The schedule was full and we fit so much in. Mawande made sure we got the most out of the package without feeling rushed. Would recommend to anyone. We loved every bit of it. Thank you!

A fun four days at the Garden Route with Mawande
We had a lovely trip with Mawande! He knows a lot about history, nature and the culture in SA. We did a lot of fun activities and when I had to go to the hospital Mawande was really helpful which I really appreciated. Also all the accommodations where we stayed at were very nice. Next time I will travel with him again, thank you for all the pictures, driving us around all day and the fun dinner table conversations!

Fantastic experience
What a fantastic experience. Our amazing guide Mawande was so professional, knowledgeable and took such great care of us. The tour itself was great and packed so much in a limited time - the highlight for sure has to be the Garden Route Game Reserve - an incredible accommodation and experience. Highly recommend and if you’re lucky you may end up with Mawande as your guide :)

It was a great tour. We always felt in good hands with our guide Mawande.
We booked a guide for a four-day tour along the garden route and were very lucky to be on the road with Mawande. He has done his job really excellently and attentively attended to our needs all the time. He drove to all the planned stations reliably and not only brought us safely from place to place, but also showed us many additional things and explained them that made our trip even more interesting. You can tell that he really goes out of his way to give his guests a special experience. Being on the road with Mawande was a lot of fun. His friendly, cheerful manner made the tour very enjoyable. He was always courteous, helpful and extremely dedicated to giving us a nice time. We can fully recommend both the tour and Mawande as a guide.

Great Experience, Great Guide
This tour was a great way to get a taste of the garden route! Our guide, Dylan, was highly informative, attentive and entertaining! Dylan ensured everyone was comfortable, had a good time and got the most out of this trip. The itinerary was very well planned, just enough to keep the days busy and diverse without feeling rushed. The accommodations, breakfasts and dinners were great and the safari game drives were a special experience. I would highly recommend anyone short on time to do this tour!
