We had a wonderful sunset tour of Dead Horse Point. Beautiful sunset views. Our guide, Ian, was knowledgeable and personable. Tour also provided pick up from our hotel which is always a plus in National Parks.

Dead Horse Point State Park provides the outstanding views of Canyonlands at a much more accessible rate and skill level. Take both paved and unpaved trails to stunning overlooks of the canyons and Moab desert. You'll see the meandering Colorado River below you and the deep canyons carved from it, stunning cerulean potash evaporation pools, and three distinct mountain ranges looming in the distance; the La Sals, the Abajos, and the Henrys. Enjoy a private experience with you, your family, and an experienced guide that will provide a professional, educational, and customizable experience for you. Unlike the national parks, Dead Horse Point is a pet-friendly state park. For an additional pet deposit, bring your furry friend with you.
Prices are per person when two book together; a solo traveller pays $250.
Larger groups pay less per person.
Out at sunset: the 5:00 PM departure is under way when the sun sets, around 6:32 PM in the coming weeks.

Take a scenic drive to the mesas atop the Canyonlands, looking out across the Moab desert as we enter the sate park.
Look out into the deep canyons of Canyonlands National Park from above from the historic area once used by cowboys that gave this area its name. Enjoy the scenic drive and short walks, or explore the spur trails to a number of stunning overlooks of three different mountain ranges, the Colorado River, and the striking potash evaporation pools.
As we return to Moab, check out this classic petroglyph and pictograph panel made by the indigenous Barrier Canyon people. See this ancient rock art and how artistic styles among indigenous groups changes over the centuries.

Park views are amazing. Tour leader was very knowledgeable. He tailored the tour to fit our needs. They supply water, but recommend bringing your own drinks and a snack.
We had such an amazing private tour to Dead Horse Point State Park on Friday, June 12, 2026, Our tour guide/drive named Ian was an absolute gem of a young man. He was extremely knowledgeable and very patient with us. We walked around the different areas that we stopped at in a very slow pace to take in all of the beauty, which we must say did not disappoint!! During the drive time he explained interesting details of the history and events of the areas. Ian's kindness and down-to-earth personality made our experience even more enjoyable. We recommend this tour and hopefully you will be lucky enough to get Ian! This Park was on our must-see list and so glad it was!
