It was raining lightly and got cancelled while on the dock waiting. It's just the luck of the draw I suppose.
The state of Alaska closed the fishing grounds because there’s not enough returning salmon. Not our fault and we’re sorry about your day. Leaving a bad review? Please reconsider and take down the review this had nothing to do with the quality of the tour. We can’t take people fishing illegally
Unfortunately I was told 3 days before my planned excursion and while at sea so had no service to book another excursion for my son. He was really bummed. Wish the communication would have been better
The state of Alaska closed the fishing grounds due to lack of returning salmon. I am sorry about your son however there’s nothing we could do. Please consider deleting this review because we can’t take you fishing illegally and we didn’t have any notice either. It’s called an emergency order and they can do it anytime.
The excursion was lots of fun and the guides were very experienced and friendly! The area they took us to was beautiful and they were happy to help you out if you didn’t know what you were doing.

Dan was a great guide. He told us going in that the salmon run wasn’t that great right now and gave us the option for a refund. We went anyway and got our reps in with nary a nibble. The locals to our left and right weren’t faring much better. Oh well. It was a great day in the water.
Yes it has been a challenge this silver run. Thank you coming out and sending a few down range and you never know what could bite. Come up next year and we will get you our free.
Shore fishing in Juneau was just the adventure we were looking for. With previous Salmon fishing trips via boat we wanted something unique and did this hit the jackpot. Our guide was Dan, who was very friendly and knowledgeable. The check in process was easy, the trip to Sheep Creek was short and we were fishing before we knew it. Unfortunately due to the weather no one else showed up for fishing so it was just my husband and myself. Even though the weather was rainy and cold, we did not let it dampen our spirits! Hubby managed to get a nice keeper in the end. I highly recommend the Alaska Anglers Club for your unique shore fishing experience in Juneau!

If the Salmon aren't running not much chance of getting bites...we have a nice guide and nice weather but Salmon were not "running".

Just because you are fishing for salmon does not mean you will bring home salmon, knowing what species are running is important if you goal is to bring home salmon.
