On a 2 hour sail, we tour the harbour and head to the lake through the western channel. Watch out for the ferry, reported to be the shortest commercial one in the world. Below the water is a walking tunnel connecting the two for those that just can’t wait to catch their flight. Our true sailing enthusiasts will enjoy the sail in Humber Bay and Lake Ontario, known for its great winds and light waves. On most weeknights and evenings, you can enjoy watching the sailing races of all the local clubs. As we sail south of the Toronto Islands and pass through the Eastern Gap, we see the Island Community of approximately 260 year round homes. Be sure to watch for summer cruise ships in port, sailing between Quebec City - through the St Lawrence Sea Way to Green Bay Wisconsin on Lake Superior. Our final leg along the Toronto, shoreline, will include, our urban beaches of Sugar and HTO Park, waterfront condominium and hotels, and Toronto’s marine fire station and the CN Tower.

Yesterday my husband and I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary here, and it was truly a wonderful evening. This was actually our second experience with Gone Sailing Adventures, and once again we absolutely loved it. The atmosphere on the sailboat is so peaceful and romantic, with beautiful views of Toronto and such a friendly, welcoming crew. It’s the perfect way to escape the busy routine, slow down, and simply enjoy quality time together. Thank you for creating such a memorable experience and beautiful memories for us. We’ll definitely be back and will happily recommend you to our friends. ❤️
Happy anniversary and thank you for sharing your experience. We love celebrating with our guests.
I cannot recommend Gone Sailing Adventures highly enough. After a busy week in Toronto filled with meetings, events, and business activities, sailing with Captain Howie was the perfect way to unwind and experience the city from an entirely different perspective. From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt welcomed, safe, comfortable, and relaxed. Captain Howie is knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about both sailing and sharing the stories of Toronto's waterfront. His commentary added depth to the experience, bringing the city's history, landmarks, and skyline to life. What stood out most was the atmosphere he created. The sail felt elegant yet comfortable, social without being crowded, and relaxing without ever being boring. The conversations with fellow passengers were wonderful, and there was something magical about watching the city skyline at sunset while feeling the breeze off the water. This was far more than a boat tour. It was an experience that allowed us to slow down, connect with nature, connect with people, and appreciate the beauty of Toronto from a completely different perspective. If you're visiting Toronto, celebrating a special occasion, entertaining clients, or simply looking for a memorable experience, book the sail. You won't regret it.
Captain ROB and His Helper ROB were excellent part of this trip!! it was a wonderful afternoon sailing the Ontario Lake with beautiful view of Toronto Skyline.
Amazing experience.. Team was so welcoming and incredibly courteous, professional and warm. Everything was well organised. Not to forget, the views were breathtaking.
Sailing solo on this shared trip was one of the most memorable experiences I’ve had. From the moment I stepped aboard, the team made me feel completely welcome. They were incredibly courteous, professional, and warm .. it felt like sailing with friends rather than strangers. The views were breathtaking, the atmosphere was peaceful yet adventurous, and everything was well-organized. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor or a first-timer, I highly recommend this trip. Truly an amazing experience
It’s an amazing experience to sail with the very professional and welcoming crew. The boat was clean and comfy. Strongly recommended.
Great experience for the first time sailing. I want to come again with my family. I will surely share my experiences with my friends & relatives. If you get a chance to sail, don't miss gone sailing....they are wonderful...captain was an experienced person.
Boat was big and beautiful. Only my hubby and me on the boat with the captain and his helper. Spent a lovely 2 hours seeing Toronto from the water. Captain was professional and friendly. He can also do marriages and spread ashes with families. Recommend highly.
I sail, usually crew for others, and yet my wife has never been on a sail boat, so I took the opportunity to share the experience with her. The 2-hour sail was just the right amount of time to experience a gentle sail on Lake Ontario waters. A 38' Beneteau was perfect, with a competent captain, gentle winds, she and I had a great time. A definite must do when in Toronto.
