We were essentially looking for a place to while away acouple of hours before our flight and were rewardd with a memorable encounter with a knowlegable host (Michaelis) and his wife Maria. They make you feel right at home and fill you with their knowledge. There is aslo a small shop where you can stock up on home produced essential oils and herbs. Warmly recommended ! Bryan and Dganit
A great. Day out . We were given a warm welcome by the hosts , who then gave us home made lemonade , rose water which was delicious also carob syrup. We were then shown around the gardens . Hosts were very informative of all the plants & what they produce , after which they gave us more drinks & talked us through the essential oils & their benefits . All in all a great day in a beautiful setting & lovely hosts
After a somewhat bumpy journey, we arrived at the Adobis Botanic Garden. On site, we were welcomed warmly, and after a small snack and delicious drinks, we were guided through the garden and some things about the plants were explained to us. To finish, we took the opportunity to refresh ourselves in the freshwater pool. It was a nice excursion and is a recommendation for everyone looking for some peace and quiet in nature.
We visited Adonis Botanic Gardens and had such a lovely time. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable, welcoming and clearly very passionate about what he does, which made the visit even more enjoyable. The homemade lemonade, rose water, carob drink and fresh watermelon were all absolutely delicious. It was a genuinely interesting and enjoyable experience, and we would definitely recommend a visit.
Fantastic experience with Maria and Michalis. Extremely friendly and welcoming couple. We had a pleasure to see wine cellar, herb room and beautiful garden. So lovely and peaceful place. Please visit them, you won’t regret it.
What a wonderful experience with Dr Michalis and his wife and lovely staff. The road is a little hairy getting there but well worth the trip. We were given carob juice while sitting under the carob tree, rose water and homemade lemonade, plus orange slices to suck on, all while being regaled with tales of Dr Michalis' life, which were funny and very interesting. Next a tour of the garden, with information on many of the plants, who knew there were 20 varieties of dragon fruit? Then back for more lemonade and more stories, plus samples of the essential oils and fragrances. And all for €10! A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in a beautiful and informative space
Michael and his wife were very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Informative tour by Michael, we stayed and had drinks with him and his wife after everyone from the tour had left. Felt so relaxed and at ease. Drank fresh lemonade made from their own produce, whilst enjoying the beautiful views from this spot. What Michael and his wife have achieved is nothing short of amazing! Recent introduction of glamping pods, we will definitely consider staying there when returning back to Cyprus. Please note- the track to get to the botanical gardens is bumpy, we had a hire car that was low to the ground so decided to park on the main road and took a 5 minute walk there, just to be safe! Thank you, we will be back!
Definitely a must place to go and see. Everything you want to know about the gardens, botanical oils, herbs, plants, flowers etc was all a part of the tour. Fruit and drinks also included in the very reasonably priced entrance fee. Will be going again for sure. Michalis was so funny and highly entertaining as a host and tour guide.

We hired a car in Paphos and drove to the gardens having discovered it on line. It's a little out of the way but so worth the drive. Michalis and his lovely wife greeted us with warmth. Michalis is such an interesting knowledgeable man, what he doesn't know about botanicals isn't with knowing, he gave us a guided tour, telling us about the plants and their properties Situated on Michalis own mountain the Botanical Gardens is a real slice of heaven. Here you will find spectacular views and peace and tranquility accompanied by a big warm hearted welcome and generous genuine hospitality. Michalis produces he's own teas, spices and essential oils and soon wine!! It's somewhere you long to be as soon as you've left.
