Are you curious to go further into the rainforest of Gunung Leuser National Park and to experience one night in our camp under an impressive leaf roof of the jungle giants? On our 2-day rainforest discovering trek you can observe wild Orangutans, gibbons, up to 4 different monkey species, turtles, peacocks, lizards and a lot more incredible wildlife! Enjoy a traditional Indonesian dinner and a night full of interesting talks and playing games, while you are surrounded by the wonderful jungle sounds. A second day in North Sumatra’s rainforest is awaiting you… Highlights: - See Orangutans in the wild - Enjoy stunning views over jungle mountains - Observe the wildlife of the Indonesian rainforest - Swim in rainforest rivers and take a shower under waterfalls - Sleep under the jungle sky for one night and let yourself be carried away by the special magic of the jungle... Pickup Locations & Times
On request we are happy to arrange a pick up at Medan Airport or any other places in North Sumatra for you (please get in touch for more details). One day before the trek, your jungle guide will meet you at your guesthouse to get to know you and give you a short introduction about the tour. The next morning you will meet your guide about 15 minutes before you start the trek into the rainforest. If you stay at the Ecolodge or at a hotel nearby, the entrance to Gunung Leuser National Park is just a few minutes walk away. In case your accommodation is located outside of Bukit Lawang in the rural area, your guide will pick you up by motorbike or tuktuk, so you can start trekking in Bukit Lawang at 9 am. Tipp: We recommend using mosquito repellent before we start our trek into the rainforest.
