Excellent experience on this wine tour and tasting with lunch! They have amazing wines and food! The whole vineyard is run by women and they have an interesting concept for elevating women which is totally awesome! I really recommend going here if in the region!!

This was a wonderful tour and history of the vineyard. The tour was only 2 couples - a very personal experience. This is the opposite of the large commercial vineyards. Antonella gave us a very personal tour. She knows a lot about the vineyard - she should, she has been working with the family for 36 years. We tasted 4 different wines from the basic Rosso to the Brunello Reserve. We learned lot about the history of the vineyard, wine making in general and the Brunello. The vineyard and surrounding hills of Tuscany are beautiful. This is a tour not to be missed.

Visit recommended by a sommelier friend who personally knows the owner, Mrs. Donatella. Great wines of course, guide still kind and helpful but the experience did not fully match the description on the site. There was in fact no visit to the vineyard and we discovered on the spot that the "trekking" was at the discretion of the visitor. However, starting the visit at 15 directly from the cellar and tastings (on an empty stomach), at the exit it was already late for light and cold (it being December), so we had to give up this part. The only food present were common bagged breadsticks placed in a corner (the site mentioned bread, sausage, cheese). The impression was of a visit organized in a little 'uncared for, reduced to the bone, despite, I repeat, the excellent quality of the wine tasted (and still purchased). For 24 euros each, a bit much. Too bad, because I relied a lot on "experience".
Salve , mi dispiace tantissimo leggere le vostre parole. Di norma la visita alla vigna si fa in quella a fianco alla zona di fermentazione. In inverno con la pianta "dormiente" ci limitiamo a mostrare le nostre vigne prima di entrare nei locali della fermentazione. Alle 15 circa la luce sarà stata comunque buona per poterla vedere. Il trekking lo lasciamo libero, a parte spiegare alcune delle opere che sono in prossimità dell'immobile o addirittura in cantina, perché ciascuno possa apprezzare al meglio l'esperienza camminando alla velocità che preferisce e potendosi riposare a piacimento. Le visite invernali hanno questa problematica delle giornate più corte comunque immagino che uscendo alle 16 circa qualcosa abbiate potuto vedere. Per quanto riguarda l'abbinamento formaggio o salsiccia ci dovete scusare, questa è stata una nostra dimenticanza. Sarebbe stato ben accetto anche un vostro cenno di questo durante la visita, così avremmo potuto rimediare. L'uso dei grissini imbustati si è purtroppo reso necessario dalla pandemia in poi. Con la speranza di avervi di nuovo in cantina a Montalcino e alla Fattoria del Colle dove faremo del nostro meglio ber rendere l'esperienza speciale.
Our visit to Casato Prime Donna was the first in our honeymoon wine tour of Chianti and set the tone for our incredible trip. The quality of the wine combined with Antonella's incredible knowledge, passion and warm welcome made for an incredible experience. This small vineyard, steeped in history with a rebellious edge was a true highlight for us. Our only regret is that we visited the Casato first and only bought one (beautiful) bottle - if we had visited at the end of the Brunello leg of our Montalcino visit we would have bought a lot more! I couldn't recommend the tour, the wine or Antonella's guide skills more fervently. If you want to discover an off-the-beaten track winery par excellence in Montalcino... look no further!
