Wonderful canoe trip at the Okavango Delta
Very good experience. The tour guide at the Okavango Canoe was so knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the culture, the animals, and the land. We saw elephants, hippos, alligators, etc. The flowers/water lilies were beautiful. Amazing experience to see all these in a canoe. Really recommend the trip. Very calm and tranquil.

Mokoro in the delta
Great experience in the delta. Do’t expect to paddle, you are in a traditional Mokoro with a poleman.

Canoe trip was good, hippo experience was good but lack of other animals was disappointing.
Trip was good but drive out was too long compared to other freinds who went with other providers.
Operator response
Dear Brendan,
Thank you for choosing to travel with Kalahari Breeze Safaris and for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your Okavango Delta Canoe Daytrip did not fully meet your expectations regarding wildlife sightings.
While our daytrips are intentionally designed and advertised as an immersive landscape and nature experience rather than an animal-focused game drive, we understand it can still be disappointing when fewer animals show themselves.
We also appreciate your note regarding the travel time. To give you some context, our transfer takes about 1.5 hours each way because we deliberately utilize a canoe station located further into the delta. We choose this specific launch point to ensure our guests experience the pristine, untouched wilderness of the Okavango, completely avoiding the closer regions where domesticated farm animals frequently roam.
We value your insights as they help us continuously refine how we communicate our itineraries. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future for an experience more aligned with your travel goals.

A Peaceful and Unforgettable Okavango Delta Mokoro Experience
The 1 Day Okavango Delta Mokoro/Canoe Daytrip is a truly unique experience that allows travelers to connect with nature in one of the most peaceful and untouched places in the world. Gliding silently through the crystal-clear channels of the Okavango Delta in a traditional mokoro offers a different kind of adventure — calm, authentic, and unforgettable. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes, birds, and wildlife, visitors can fully relax and enjoy the magic of the Delta away from the noise of everyday life.
One of the most special parts of this activity is the sense of peace it provides. The gentle movement of the canoe, the sounds of nature, and the breathtaking scenery create a calming atmosphere that helps guests feel refreshed and connected to the environment. It is not only an adventure but also a chance to experience tranquility and appreciate the natural beauty of Botswana in a very personal way.
The experience is made even better by the excellent guides and drivers who are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the journey. They ensure guests feel safe, comfortable, and well taken care of while sharing interesting information about the Delta, its culture, and wildlife. Their passion and hospitality make the trip even more memorable and enjoyable for every traveler.

Must Do
The safari vehicle ride there - so interesting. You would never guess so many people are living back in those woods. Aboard the canoe, relax, enjoy birds and day lilies, and ask whatever you want. Our guide, SchoolBoy, was a virtual encyclopedia of Botswana. We saw hippos, gnus, antelope, large giraffe groups, and a poacher's snare. Others in our group saw elephants. Picnic lunch by Nando's. Perfection.

Super organized tour with great impressions 🤩
We had a great tour with great experiences 🤩. The guides are very experienced and show you nature from a completely different perspective.
After the departure (about 1.5 hours) on partly bad roads (is so and was not expected otherwise), we went to the Mokoros. The drive to an island was really nice and we saw a lot. Then we went to Bush Walk and we saw a lot of things in this one too. Then we had lunch and later we went back.
Everything super organized and really recommended!!!
We would definitely do the tour again 😊.

An absolutely serene...
An absolutely serene experience, which was closer to a meditation. Despite being told that we may not see any wildlife, we came across loads of animals, from giraffes to zebras to wildebeest to hippos. Shout-out to Morks, who was the best guide, sharing ample knowledge and humour. My only complaint is that this was quite an expensive tour, which was probably worth the money, yet we were still expected to tip our guides at the end. It makes me feel like the company is not distributing the money fairly to those who deserve it the most.
Operator response
