Javier took us on a very informative small group tour of the Guggenheim Museum, imparting extensive knowlege of the art installations, and as a born and bred local he also gave us much insight into the history of/ and life in Bilbao. His bubbly, caring character made the tour additionally enjoyable.

Informative about the sculptures, the architecture and key pieces of art inside. The tour was on the long side, nearly 3 hours which was a little too long for us to be standing. Very friendly tour guide, Jave is the best way to see the museum to get the full experience.

Javier was extremely knowledgeable and I loved his enthusiasm.

There was some initial miscommunication about our starting time and we missed the first 15 minutes of our Guggenheim tour. We were eventually able to contact our guide and meet up with the group. Benim (I am probably misspelling her name), our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic. She was even kind enough to stay on after the tour ended and show us the parts we missed.

I was really grateful for the insight, additional context, and conversations that Gara provided. She was a delight to spend some time with, and I believe I enjoyed the museum more than I would have on my own. I only wish it was longer and we could have seen more! But the ticket gave me additional time to explore the museum solo. Overall an incredible experience well worth the money.

Although the building itself is a work of art, it takes some finesse to uncover what lies inside. Javi our guide was a native Basque gentleman who knew EVERYONE by name: he learned our names but also knew staff, street vendors and artists by name. I love me a person who values details. Hearing the subtleties surrounding the permanent collection and seeing things through the lens of someone passionate with an art history background, we discovered another level of appreciation. You will find this worth every penny and something that will fill your memory for a lifetime.

Very enriching experience with a top-notch English-speaking guide who helped us discover the exterior and interior of the museum. We were expecting to have a French-speaking guide, however (my husband did not speak English at all, he did not appreciate the tour to its full value). The 2-hour tour is not enough to see all the works, so you must plan a little extra time to finish the tour. We would have liked to stay longer but the agency shifted our tour originally scheduled for 1:00 PM and moved it to 4:30 PM; however, we had commitments after the 2-hour tour. Furthermore, the meeting point is not clear (the street number does not correspond to the meeting point). You actually have to go to the "information point" located next to the museum.

This is a scam. We supposedly booked a small group tour in English. We arrived at the meeting point ten minutes early but could not find the guide. When we called/messaged on Whatsapp no one responded until 15 min later, at which point they told us it was our fault and the your had left without us. They would not refund our money.

I paid a lot of $ for what was supposed to be a small group (6) VIP experience the group had 10 people and there was no vip experience according to the guide herself. She was very good but it took longer than it should have so we didn’t get to spend the time expected to see everything we were supposed to. Security consisted of 1 guy looking into your bag. So I’m not sure what lines we were avoiding. The museum is amazing but there are way cheaper ways of doing it.
