It was great to see the interior of Iceland. Didn’t have much time at any spot to really enjoy it. Tour was as advertised as 5 hours but the guide thought we had 7 hours so we had to rush. The nature baths were closed which we weren’t informed of and that was a big disappointment.

Overall a great tour that was run exceptionally well. The guide was informative and we had just the right amount of time at each site. The only negative was the irritating bugs. They don’t bite but so swarm around your head and face. They are common in the area, and a heads up so we could have brought a head net would have been helpful.

Fabulous tour and guide/driver. Loved every bit of it especially crawling into the beautiful cave and walking around the thermal pools and mid pools of 200 degrees. Waterfalls were spectacular.

Lots of driving but a great way to see the scenery. Huge amount of walking at the canyon. The guide was great.

More than 5 hours’ tour with only 1 stop for the toilets in the beginning and no stop or time to eat something during the tour

The Iceland experience was almost perfect. The HK cruise/expedition itself was wonderful, and my wife and I couldn’t ask for more/better. The cabin was comfortable and accommodating. Breakfast. Lunch, & Dinner were exceptional. Beverages were to our satisfaction. Now for what wasn’t up to expectations. I thought everything was booked via HK but not quite. For air travel I requested a window seat and the adjacent seat. On the flight to Iceland my wife and I had an aisle seat and the adjacent seat. On the flight back to Chicago the seating was as requested. Transfers were supposed to be included or so I thought. We arrived a day early and we were met by HK at the airport for the transfer from the Keflavik Airport to the Raddison Hotel in Reykjavik. The next day, HK picked us up at the hotel for the transfer to the ship. During the voyage I became aware there was no transfer from the ship to the airport for the return flight to Chicago! I assumed this had been done because the return flight had been booked by HK and thought they would know my wife and I needed transport from the ship to the airport. WRONG. No such transfer was included. I discovered this 2-days before the end of the voyage. I went to the expedition team to have them arrange a transfer I was told NO because all the reservations had been made/taken and my wife and would have to take a taxi to the airport. The person I interfaced about this on the ship wasn’t very helpful and insisted there wasn’t space available for this transfer. I then checked the HK app, and it did show transfers were available. I mentioned this to the person I originally spoke with, and he said the app is incorrect about transfers! I told him he should speak to the developer to correct this. Ended up taking a taxi which cost about 60 Euros more than the price shown on the HK app. While waiting at the Keflavik airport I noticed busses from the ship arriving with fellow passengers. I checked with the bus driver on one bus to see if it was full or not. I was informed about half full. I’m not sure WHY I couldn’t get a transfer on one of these, but I want to make mention of it. In the future I will be checking my reservations thoroughly to insure nothing is missing. As for ratings: Cruise 5*, Initial Reservation 3*, Transfer Assistance on Board 1*
