The waterfalls are magnificent and absolutely worth the visit. Transport provided was a local bus rather than a coach so was a little noisy. Unfortunately, this also made it almost impossible to hear what the guide was saying at the back but he was very knowledgeable and I'm sure that those that could hear, were well informed.

I accidentally booked the tour for the wrong day. But they made room for us on a later tour that day anyway. Also, I had to disembark my cruise ship so I had luggage. They brought a bus that was big enough to store my luggage. They were so amazing to work with and I highly recommend them. There were four of us so they gave up losing the money they could have made by selling tickets to four other people for the tour they put us on.

Excellent local guide using minibus pickup just outside of the port. Waterfall is amazing. Also got a quick tour of the old town.

Bus not suitable for the trip, excellent comments from the guide but barely audible

A beautiful waterfall (although I prefer the Gullfoss waterfall) We had a nice bus driver with a good dose of humor! He also gave us a lot of information about Iceland, and showed us more of Akureyri than was described in the excursion. We came with the cruise, this was doable.

This was a wonderful tour with a friendly, informative and helpful tour guide. We read the reviews before booking & wasn’t disappointed. He humour was a bonus

The seating arrangement on the bus was terrible. Another couple and ourselves were taken to our bus by the guide and we were told that there were 4 seats available, which was initially correct. The only problem was a very large and extremely hostile family had placed their bags on one of the available seats and told us that they were reserved for the rest of their party. We politely asked them to remove their bags but they refused. We explained that we had been told by the guide that the seats were available for us but they still refused to move them. At this point my wife tried to move the bags and a female family member grabbed my wife’s arm and physically and verbally abused her, it was at this point that the rest of the family became abusive and extremely rude. One very large male member of the family then came and stood over me with the intention of trying to intimidate my wife and I. I eventually managed to calm down the situation the best I could but the whole episode completely ruined our day. At no point did anyone from the tour company intervene and we were left feeling extremely vulnerable and anxious in case the situation escalated again. It was such a shame as the waterfall was beautiful and the staff were pleasant and friendly, it’s just a pity that we were left to suffer the abuse without any help from the staff.
