シンクヴェリル国立公園では、アイスランドのスリリングで少し恐ろしくもある歴史を学ぶことができます。ユネスコ世界遺産に指定されているだけあって、とても見応えがあります。アイスランドの民主主義発祥の土地を歩き、Drowning PoolやGallows Rockなど、バイキング時代の裁判が行われた場所を訪れます。シンクヴェトリルは地殻変動によって2枚のプレートが徐々に分断し、急勾配の断崖とアイスランド最大の自然湖、シンクヴァルラヴァトンを特徴とする広大な原野が生まれた場所でもあります。
その最初の名前であるグレート・ゲイシールは、ゲイシール地熱活動地帯のハウカダルールにあります。この地域全体は、蒸気口から沸騰する泥ピットや最大の見所である間欠泉など、地熱活動で沸き立っています。世界各地の間欠泉はすべて、ゲイシールにちなんで名付けられています。
グレート・ゲイシールは最近では時々噴火するのみで、最後に噴火したのは2016年でしたが、近くにあるストロックル間欠泉は数分ごとに高温のお湯を空中に噴き出すことで、見る人を楽しませています。
アイスランドで最も人気のある滝は、間違いなくグトルフォス（黄金の瀧）です。何千もの滝がある国では、これは相当の規模です。グトルフォスは、アイスランド屈指の美しさを誇ると言われており、当然、その規模は最大です。標高32メートルを落下して渓谷に入っていくクビート川のごう音を聞くと、爽快な気分になります。晴れた日には、滝から立ち上る霧に虹をたくさん見ることができます。滝の周りには、滝の下まで続く道がいくつかあるため、レインコートを着用し、カメラを準備してください。

Great information driver and guide were fantastic. The weather cooperated and we had great views of the glaciers!!!
i went on this excursion with my boyfriend & we had a 16 hr layover in iceland. we decided on this tour because we had never been here before but wanted to get a good feel of the country’s nature. it was beautiful! we did the afternoon tour, & we actually showed up to a different pickup spot whilst running late due to long wait times at passport control. however, peter waited a bit longer while the airport bus arrived in the city, and we were able to make this tour. he was also very knowledgeable about icelandic history & folklore which kept the drive in between stops interesting. i can’t wait to go back to iceland!
A "must do" when in Iceland. A pleasant coach bus ride with plenty of time to view the sights. Local tour guide was very informative.
Viator did not communicate with tour provider and therefore did not have on schedule for pickup. We missed our tour entirely causing us to loose a whole day of touring and spend additional money on transportation.
It exceeded our expectations! The tour guide, Leyfuy was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and informative. There was plenty of time at each stop.
Good trip. Seen the geyser, great scenery, nice commentery, NP, and one of the waterfalls in Iceland.
Completely narrated with history, mythology, and literature built into it. Great tour guide Steinunn and driver Pavel. For an introductory tour of Reykjavik this is a must do. If you go to bottom of waterfall wear non slip boots and poncho
I went to the bus stop on time and when tjr bid came they told me I’m not on the list even though I had a booking. I don’t recommend booking with this company they’re not reliable and they will waste your time.
Not at all as advertised. There was no Wi-Fi and no audio via earbuds. Instead the guide spoke so softly dropping his voice at the end of every phrase that he was inaudible. The bus was so loud we couldn't hear anything even though we asked him to turn up the volume several times, our request fell on deaf ears. The sites visited were beautiful but massively overcrowded. Do yourself a favor and rent a car and go earlier in the day. Poor value for a lot of money.
Interesting tour. Guide and driver excellent Geysers great! Facts about the city were an added touch!
