This was a great food tour experience. We did the food tour the first day in Reykjavik. I recommend it as a plan. It gave us a taste of the best versions of some classic Icelandic foods. Hilda did an excellent job. I’ve done several food tours around the world. She was a great combination of knowledgeable, local and very personable.
A historic fun and foodie tour! Ben was entertaining as well as informative! And a wealth of local and mythical information. Foods from salmon, arctic char, lamb, pork, the best hot dog you will ever have in your life, and the nastiest fermented Greenland shark. Yes that’s right, I said nasty…. And yes you have to try it. It’s like if you don’t well….you aren’t a real Icelandian. Ben is friendly charming and so patient with all your questions. He also offer dating in Iceland tips! 🤣 Thank you Ben
Bonnie is an excellent guide. She is very knowledgeable and personable and goes the extra distance to ensure a fantastic experience.
Ben was incredible. He brought us to really cool places, encouraged us to try new things and educated us on the food history of Iceland in the process. He's fun and charming and it was a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
Guỗný Was amazing. Great way to start our first day of Iceland. This tour is a must. Our tour guide haves us great insight to the culture people and foods of Iceland. The fermented shark is a must!!!!

Hilda was absolutely wonderful!! We visited 5 different restaurants for traditional Icelandic food which was all delicious. But the best part of the tour was all the history and knowledge that Hilda shared with us while being so genuine, fun, kind and truly a breath of fresh air. She shared many fun stories about Iceland history and the city and the food. Highly recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Hilda as your guide, you are very lucky.
Fabulous food tour. Mintie our guide took us to four incredible and delicious restaurants. The food was excellent and his knowledge of Icelandic food and food history made it extra wonderful. Thank you.
What a neat experience! Everything was super simple. We arrived at the meeting point and met Alfie our guide. She was super! Full of energy and a great ambassador for the city. The walks were generally easy and at a comfortable pace. Alfie’s stops for “knowledge” were always interesting too. Each restaurant served a different example of local Icelandic cuisine. I can tell you that you aren’t wanting for food by the end of the tour! The groups are small which is really nice because you get to meet and chat with people at the restaurants and on the walks in between. Would highly recommend. It was a really enjoyable way to spend a few hours.
