This tour is a must do if you’re in Syracuse. The tour guide was awesome. He was very knowledgeable. He had been in the restaurant business for 20 years, every place he took us he knew everyone and everything was made fresh upon our arrival. The choices he had for us were fantastic. We left with full tummies and smiles on our faces!
Our guide was Giuseppe. Our group of 5 couples booked at different times so at first we were going to be separated. But he worked it out with his coworker so we could stay together as a group. He did an excellent job. Lots of excellent food and learned some of Syracuse history.
Guiseppe was fantastic. He was so passionate and enthusiastic, taking his time to show us so many things in Ortigia. All the food spots he took us to were amazing. I strongly recommend booking his tour.
We had a great experience! No need to eat breakfast before this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful, and shared lots of detailed information about the city in addition to the food.

We had an excellent walking food tour led by Brenda Novak. She was a wealth of information, both about the foods and their origins as well as the history and sites of Ortigia. Brenda answered all our questions and gave us several suggestions for post tour activities. We highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in the history and culture of Ortigia.
This tour was one of the best things we did while staying on Ortigia for a week. Our guide, Iryna, was a treasure. She grew up on Ortigia, knew everyone, and was clearly passionate about sharing her home with us. She made it much more than a "food" tour; she shared cultural and historical notes with us as well. The experience felt unhurried and intimate. The food selections were wonderful of course, but Iryna really made the tour.
