Our family loves food tours, and we’ve done quite a few of them in different parts of Italy. This one was definitely the best. Dario was so entertaining. The incredible food and Dario’s wonderful stories intertwined perfectly to highlight the islands colourful history and culture. We loved it.
If not the best food tour that I’ve ever been on, it’s at least tied for #1. It’s actually hard to identify the best food star, but Dario was certainly the best at representing his town, providing us with a lot of context for appreciating our tastings. Caffe del Nono set a high bar at the very beginning, and it just kept getting better to possibly the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten to the granita and gelato at the end. Kudos to Dario for sharing what what he truly is passionate about.
What a fantastic food tour in Ortesia! Dario shares his passion for local food, history, architecture, and culture in a humorous, local, and knowledgeable narrative filled with stories of his life in Ortesia. The food selections were delicious and plentiful. He personally knew all the vendors. The trip thru the local market was sensational. Highly, highly recommend this entertained and delicious tour if you’re near beautiful Ortesia!

We read so many wonderful reviews about this tour and specifically about Dario the tour guide. It was so more than what we expected. Dario was fabulous! I would recommend. The history and walking tour were so cool and the food testing were unbelievable! It is a “Must do” with Dario!!!
Everything you want from a food walking tour! I highly recommend Dario’s tour to orient yourself in Ortigia, learn about the area annd history and had some excellent food. I appreciated the itinerary and pace and that we got to know the winding and picturesque streets. A real highlight was visiting the market. We had drinks, snacks, lunch and dessert. Dario created a welcoming and fun atmosphere. Good value.
