Kate was a great guide and was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. I appreciated how she reached out the day before our tour to explain exactly where and when to meet and it also provided me with contact info if there were any issues. The stops were great, the variety of food was great. Kate also paid close attention to the guests dietary restrictions/ needs. Summer months can be HOT so I highly recommend bringing water and wearing comfy shoes.

First of all, there was Allegra, who led us on this tour. She was a very warm, friendly person with extensive knowledge of the places she showed us, and she made the culinary experience much more enjoyable. Secondly, there was the choice of places she took us to, which made for a very pleasant experience. And finally, the food, which was very tasty and made the whole experience well worth it.

Our culinary street food tour with Carolina was one of the absolute highlights of our stay in Catania. First of all, one important piece of advice: come hungry – very hungry! The amount and variety of food were incredibly generous, and every tasting gave us another delicious insight into Sicilian cuisine. However, this experience was so much more than just a food tour. Carolina is a warm, cheerful and genuinely welcoming person who immediately makes you feel comfortable. She has an impressive knowledge of Catania and shares it in a lively, authentic and entertaining way. In just under three hours, we learned so much about the city, its traditions, its people and everyday life in Sicily. Carolina did not simply show us different food stops; she helped us understand and experience Catania through the eyes of someone who truly knows and loves the city. She also gave us many excellent insider recommendations for restaurants, bars, shopping and places to visit during the rest of our stay. These personal tips were extremely helpful and made the tour even more valuable. We highly recommend booking this tour at the beginning of your stay in Catania. It is the perfect way to discover the city, enjoy fantastic food and receive genuine local recommendations at the same time. Absolutely fabulous activity! Simona was an amazing guide who taught us so much about Sicilian history and all about the food we ate. We went to 5 different places all within close proximity; 3 savoury foods and 2 desserts which were all so tasty!! When i was struggling a bit in the 33° heat (i’m scottish) she made sure we walked in the shade when we could. Small thing but very sweet to do as i was melting 🫠 . 10/10 you should absolutely do this if you’re visiting catania

This food tour was excellent. Our host Allegra was brilliant - she chose the best foods, shared lots of interesting places and information about Catania and was able to answer questions and make recommendations. We went 6/9pm and loved seeing the city go from day to night. I would highly recommend as a must do. We did this tour on our first evening on arriving in Catania. It really helps get a feel for the real Catania and inspiration for the rest of our time here.

Excellent tour, Gisella is a great guide, kind and she knows the best places. She tells about history and culture, not just the food.

Tasty and wonderfull expierience on the tour. The presentation skills and stories of Gisella were amazing.

It was a really nice experience. I learned a lot about Sicily, including interesting facts about its traditional food and the history of the city. Overall, I would recommend this tour if you have three hours to spare while you’re in Sicily.
