Discovering Pompeii Review
This was a very good tour of Pompeii. Christian, Rebecca and Mario were all wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable. They made sure everyone had what was needed and were where we needed to be. The actual Pompeii guide, Francesco, was very good even though it was very crowded due to ‘free Sunday’ bringing in more visitors. Thanks again for the wonderful trip.

From Napoli to Pompeii and Sarrento , a lemon orchard and three churches !
Our lovely limo driver was Nikola, a cheerful 63 yr old former coach. He was very informative , talking about the towns along the way from Napoli to Pompeii.But what was memorable to us was how he shared his personal insights on the value of family life, being then father of an 18 yr old daughter and partner of a 53 yr old dental assistant. The ride to and from sorrento to Napoli was spiced with stories about his family and love life. There was no dull moment in the car either with or without traffic.
Our guide in Pompeii was Francesca, whose ancestors hail from Austria. She was prompt
And knowledgable about Pompeii and answered all our questions.
Our Lemon orchard tour was with 24 yr-old Alexa.
Observing the automated washing and sorting process of three different species of lemons in this family business owned by the same family for 4 generations was fun. She gave us a sample taste of their lemon compote and jam and limoncello with a recipe card. Who would have thought that in the middle of bustling Sorrento there are several hectares of lemon groves by the bluff with a gorgeous view of the sea! Next time I would suggest having dinner in the lemon orchard ! We completed our day with a visit to the plaza Tasso and visits to the church of st. Francis of Assisi , the Basilica of San Antonio Abate and the church of the Madonna delle Carmine. What a blessed day !
