It was hot but the tour was excellent. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything clearly.
Alessandra was amazing. She is very knowledgeable, speaks clearly, and has a wonderful sense of humor. We would take any tour she leads, anytime!
The meeting place is confusing. For us since it’s our first time to be in Pompeii, the instructions should have been clearer, that to go to the meeting place at the entrance, we still had to go uphill to the left from the drop off area. We waited for the tour guide at the drop off area where we thought the tour guide would be. No specific instructions that we still have to walk uphill on the left side of drop off area before you can see the meeting place at the entrance to the Ruins. Our tour guide was very good though. I’d give her a 6 out of 5. I just wish we had more time to spend with her. She shared a lot of information about the Ruins that we would have not known if we did the tour on our own.
This experience was totally worth it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept everyone engaged, including the kids. We were a group of 10. We learned a lot and the time spent at the site was perfect. Make sure you have a lot of water and bring hats as it was super hot. Also we didn’t see any bathrooms once inside so make sure to use the bathrooms at the entrance.
We had a wonderful tour with Antoinetta. She was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging, making the experience both enjoyable and informative. Despite the intense heat, we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Just be aware that there’s very little shade along the route, so it’s a good idea to bring plenty of water and a handheld fan if you have one. Highly recommended!
It was great! Perfect amount of time to see the most interesting parts of Pompeii. Our tour guide was able to keep everyone engaged including the kids. We learned a lot. The group was about 10 people. The experience was totally worth it. If you are traveling in the summer, be ready for scorching sun and temperatures. Bring a hat and water. Also make sure you use the bathrooms before you enter Pompeii as we didn’t see any inside.
Very organised tour, with excellent guide whose commentary was non stop the whole 2 hours. Her name was Antoinette.
Learned so many interesting things at Pompei. Our guide was an archeologist there. He took us through newly opened areas and answered all our questions. Our 3 teenagers enjoyed it as well.
Tour guide was amazing, very in depth and entertaining. City is gorgeous with water points. Local cats very cute (favourite part)
The meeting point via gps and the information about where you meet was off. The tour started late and it ended early so I wish for more information!
