Great way to get an overview of the city. Stops were well marked, buses were clean and headsets were provided for audio. The audio could have been more comprehensive but the route maps gave us most info that we wanted to determine our stops.

Relaxing way to see the city. Very informative & and easy way to learn your way around town.
This is one of the worst Hop-On Hop-Off bus tours that we have been on. Buses were relatively infrequent being every thirty minutes. Passengers were not allowed to board on a couple of occasions because the bus was full, meaning another 30 minute wait in the cold weather. On one occasion the driver was persuaded to let us board, provided that we stood during the journey. We were not offered maps of the route or headsets to plug in to the sockets to access the commentary. Because of this it was very difficult to get our bearings as to where we were on the route. I have been on some good Hop-On Hop-Off buses around the world but this was not one of them.
Stops although easy to find after you have taken the tour once, are not readily apparent. Tour itself was basic and a good was to spend a couple of hours and get a better feel for the area.

Easy way to get a round and understand the city. Took the full tour and the picked the stops we wanted try.

I would have given a score of zero for my first experience on the hop on hop off bus on round midday Sunday 2nd August. First bus was packed outside Harpa Centre,we were sent over to second bus,and we were refused entry to second bus which went off half empty. Boarded first bus, staff miserable, not helpful and totally unprofessional. Not offered ear ohones etc We decided to retry Monday 3rd August, a totally different experience, driver was lovely and the lady with him came round the bus to explain and give out ear plugs and maps. These two were excellent and the reason I am not scoring you zero. Asset to your company. The crew on the Sunday need to either be retrained or look for new jobs.

Skipped a stop on the route and caused a plot of extra walking for our destination and never were able to use again

Interesting and enjoyable though Reykjavik is not a downtown city. Drivers were very nice and very helpful

Having used hop on buses in other cities, my expectations were high. The drivers were friendly and seemed competent. The recorded narrative was informative. However, the buses were 20 to 30 minutes apart and one went right past, so it's not as convenient as in some cities.
