We had an amazing experience with our tour guide and team. The food was spectacular, especially considering our remote location and the limited resources available to prepare such wonderful meals. One of the highlights of the trip was visiting the remote communities. The people were incredibly warm and welcoming, making us feel as though we were part of their community.

Loved the community immersion in the first few days Only disappointment was in the details pre trip. Found out on the trip we would have to pay for bus down from Machu Picchu, but this was not listed in the “not included” section of the brochure. Would have been helpful to know ahead of time to organise the cash required
Defintely worth the payment. Everything was well organized and the tickets for several entrance already paid by the guide so you don’t have to care about anything. The tour up in the mountains without any other people besides the locals and your group is amazing. You really get a feeling of the Andens and how the locals life. Also the nature is stunning and not to be captured by any picture. We really enjoyed our trip and would do ist anytime again even though the nights were very cold at this altitude. We had the best time with our guide Henry, the chef Mathias and the horseman Valentin. Thanks to you all!
Lovely mountains, animals and views
We did the Lares Trek fir 5 days , which was an absolutely amazing experience. The journey was full of beautiful natural scenery – with llamas and alpacas along the trail. Our team and guide, Tinni, were fantastic; everyone was kind and very helpful. I can highly recommend this trek.
We did the Lares Trek along with the 2 day Inca trail. Our guide Julio Choque was phenomenal. His years of experience kept us motivated to power thru each mountain pass. His knowledge on the local area was very informative and added much value to our trek. Along with Juan Carlos who made delicious meals along the way. We truly enjoyed our adventure of a lifetime. I definitely recommend Julio Choque as a guide for any trekking adventure.

Had an amazing time with tour guide David. We visited the Marad salt mines, chincero and much more. I was able to buy great alpaca items in chincero and would rly recommend the tour overall. David is super nice and knowledgeable he also knows all the best spots for photos.

We did the 3-day Lares + 2-day Inca Trail Trek, since we booked last-minute and there were no 4-day Inca trail treks available. We enjoyed the Lares segment of the trek, even if it’s one of the less-booked treks. We got to see what life in the high Andes is like, and we saw spectacular scenery very different from what we saw later on the Inca trail. The two-day Inca Trail segment was amazing as expected, taking us through progressively larger Inca ruins until we ultimately arrived at macchu picchu. Salkantay was organized and communicative. The logistics seemed intricate, and they handled them without a single issue. Our guide, Wilfredo Puma, was great. He: - Clearly emphasized the most important parts of the itinerary - Kept a good pace, waiting for us when needed and keeping us moving overall. - Helped me recover quickly from a brief bout of altitude sickness - Pointed out all kinds of local flora, explained their uses in ancestor medicine - Was well-informed about Inca architecture and society, which I found fascinating - Carried our lunch on the last day when we had no space in our bags - Shared local traditions with us Our cook, Denis, prepared consistently excellent meals. His lomo saltado was better than what we had in local restaurants. The only con: - We did not upgrade our hotel in Aguas Calientes. We (and some other Salkantay travelers) were given rooms in the Chakana Botique hotel, which was very noisy for most of the night. If you’re a sensitive sleeper, you should upgrade your hotel.
