So glad we booked this amazing experience with Qoricancha Expeditions. Prior to our Machu Picchu adventure all communications were handled flawlessly by Ronaldo, any prior questions or queries we had were answered in lightning speed. Thank you Ronaldo! I really cannot criticise one aspect of our 2 day trek at all. It was a real pleasure to trek alongside our guide Ronaldhino , what a gentleman, his English was impeccable and his knowledge of the trail, Machu Picchu and all things Peru second to none. We arrived at Machu Picchu through the legendary Sun Gate in perfect sunshine and trust me setting your eyes on this mystical Inca site for the first time via this “doorway” high above the citadel has to be the pinnacle of any other arrival experience. What more to say? Well on the second day once again in perfect early morning weather we got close up and personal to the ruins , visiting the living quarters of the Inca Royals, nobles and gentry. Once again our guide Ronaldhino was at hand to answer all of our questions and take lots of great pics of my daughter and I from all the best spots as he had indeed done on the previous day. Thank you Ronaldhino ! All meals, including dinner on the mountain were great alongside very comfortable overnight accommodation in Aguas Calientes. Thank you Qoricancha Expeditions for providing my daughter and I an amazing journey to one of the worlds most amazing places with memories to last a lifetime !

Dream trip to Machu Picchu, everything was well organized, tickets. Hotels, transportation, our guide Simon was the best, cheerful and with a great attitude, he made our trip unforgettable. We were very satisfied with the entire service. I recommend the services of Qoricancha Expeditions and their entire team.

An absolute 10/10 experience! Our guide was fantastic and the food was incredible, our cook exceeded all expectations. I loved every single day of the trek. The landscapes were absolutely beautiful, and arriving at Machu Picchu was a dream come true. Highly recommended!

Our 2-day Inka Trail hike to Machu Picchu was an unforgettable experience from beginning to end. Everything was incredibly well organized, which made the entire trip smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. A special thank you to our guide, Aldo, who was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about sharing the history and culture along the trail. He made the experience even more meaningful and always made sure everyone felt comfortable and supported throughout the hike. We also really appreciated the excellent service and support from Ronaldo, whose communication, preparation, and attention to detail before and during the trip were outstanding. We always felt well informed and taken care of. The hotel included in the tour was excellent and very comfortable, and the picnic lunch on the hiking day was delicious, with a great variety of food that was perfect after the trek. Overall, this was an incredible experience and one we would highly recommend to anyone planning to visit Machu Picchu.

My sister and I traveled to Peru and booked the 5 day Cusco and Machu Picchu tour with Qoricancha Expeditions. From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience. Ronaldo made planning simple. He always replied quickly to emails, gave us all the details we needed, and even set up a video call to go over the itinerary and answer our questions before we left. His clear communication and organization made us feel confident right away. The best part of our trip was the 2-day Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. The hike was beautiful, with mountain views, original Inca stone paths, cloud forests, and amazing archaeological sites like Wiñay Wayna. Reaching the Sun Gate and seeing Machu Picchu for the first time was a moment we will never forget. It was one of the most rewarding travel experiences we have ever had. Our guide, Simon, was fantastic throughout the trek and the whole tour. With more than a decade of experience, he shared interesting insights into the story, culture, and traditions, making every place we visited even more essential. He was patient, professional, and encouraging throughout the hike, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and had a good time. Ricardo, our driver, was also great, always on time and friendly. The hotels were great too. Rumipunku Hotel in Cusco was comfortable and close to everything. Sol Natura in the Sacred Valley was quiet and had beautiful views. Tierra Viva in Machu Picchu Pueblo was the perfect place to relax after our hike. Overall, the tour was excellent from beginning to end. We highly recommend Qoricancha Expeditions. Ronaldo and Simon were both outstanding, and Simon is one of the best guides we have ever had. This was an experience we will never forget.

We did the Short Inca Trail with Qoricancha Expeditions and had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Everything was extremely well organized, which made the whole trip very relaxing and enjoyable. The communication beforehand was excellent — all information was clear and detailed, and they took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly. During the tour itself, everything went smoothly, especially the transportation and logistics. The food was fantastic throughout the trip, and we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel: a very luxurious room with a jacuzzi, which was the perfect way to relax after the hike. The hike itself was breathtaking. The scenery and nature along the route were truly stunning. Our guide, Mr. Wilson, was outstanding. He shared so much interesting information about the flora and fauna, as well as the history, architecture, and culture of the Incas. Besides being incredibly knowledgeable, he also made a lot of fun jokes during the tour, which created a great atmosphere and made the experience even more enjoyable. We had two unforgettable days and would highly recommend Qoricancha Expeditions to anyone considering the Short Inca Trail. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

My sister & I (60+) did the 1 day trek to Machu Picchu followed by circuit 3 the next day. Ronaldo was very helpful in organising the trip, he even helped with a personal issue when we were in Cusco. Aldo was our guide, he was friendly, patient and very knowledgeable. The first part of the trek is quite steep uphill for a couple of hours and because of the altitude we needed frequent stops, Aldo was very accommodating and patient. We had a lovely lunch cooked for us on the mountain (other people were given their lunch at the bottom and had to carry it). Arriving at the sun gate was amazing, we had plenty of time for photos before reaching the top of Machu Picchu, with more time for photos. We had a nice meal and stayed in a nice hotel. The next day we returned to do circuit 3, Aldo showed us round and shared the history. We were also given t-shirts and kit bags. A highly recommended tour and made better by the organisation and guiding of Ronaldo & Aldo. Thank you

Our 2-day, 1-night with Qoricancha Expeditions journey to Machu Picchu was an outstanding experience from start to finish, and much of that is thanks to Simon Puma and his exceptional level of service. Everything was incredibly well organized. Our trip began with a prompt hotel pickup and a smooth, comfortable car ride to Ollantaytambo. From there, we boarded a very clean and comfortable train that took us to the starting point of our hike. Every transition felt seamless and stress-free. The hike itself was unforgettable. We were treated to a freshly chef prepared, lunch right on the trail, which was both surprising and delightful. After lunch, we made a quick and interesting stop at the Wiñay Wayna ruins, adding even more depth to the experience. Simon made the entire trek enjoyable and relaxed—never rushing us, always making sure we were comfortable, and taking plenty of photos along the way so we could fully enjoy the experience without worrying about capturing every moment ourselves. What truly set Simon apart was his deep knowledge and passion for Inca history. He shared detailed explanations throughout the journey, bringing the surroundings to life in a meaningful and engaging way. We spent the night in Aguas Calientes at a comfortable three-star hotel, which provided a great opportunity to rest before the next day’s adventure. The following morning, we took a bus up to Machu Picchu, where we had ample time to explore the ruins at our own pace. Once again, Simon enriched the visit with fascinating historical insights while allowing plenty of time for photos and personal exploration. Overall, this experience was a perfect 10 out of 10. Simon, with his 20 years of guiding experience, delivered professionalism, organization, and top-tier service at every step. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a memorable and well-guided trip to Machu Picchu.

We checked out a few travel agencies before choosing Qoricancha Expeditions for our 2 day hike to Machu Picchu. Ronaldo was great to work with. He replied quickly, shared all the tour details and set up an online call to explain the itinerary step by step. He made sure we understood everything before we left. Booking was easy and we paid by bank transfer with no extra fees. Simon, our guide, met us at our hotel the night before our trip at 6pm. He gave us a full briefing about the trek, what to pack and what to expect, which helped us feel prepared. We started early at 4am, traveled through the Sacred Valley and caught the 6:40am train to KM 104. After checking in with our passports, we began the hike. The first part of the hike was challenging but rewarding. We spent about three hours climbing uphill and reached an incredible Inca site. Simon shared lots of information about the orchids, birds and Inca history there. We enjoyed a delicious picnic lunch made by Chef Ramón, including vegetarian options. It was one of the highlights of the day. After lunch, we continued hiking through Gringo Killer and reached the Sun Gate, where we saw our first stunning views of Machu Picchu. The weather was perfect. From there, it took about 40 minutes to walk down to the citadel, where we enjoyed the afternoon scenery. We then took the bus to Aguas Calientes and stayed at the Inti Punku Machu Picchu Hotel, which was excellent. The next morning, we visited Machu Picchu for a guided tour of Circuit 3. Simon shared lots of historical insight about the site, which made the visit even more special. In the afternoon, we took the train back to the Sacred Valley, where our driver Miguel picked us up and took us back to our hotel in Cusco. Overall, we had an amazing experience with a small group of just four hikers. The team was professional, friendly and very organized. We highly recommend them. You’ll be in great hands.
