We recently completed the Ultimate Ireland 10-Day (Tuesday) Tour with Overland. We had never traveled with Overland before and chose the tour company based entirely on the online reviews. The tour covers a lot of ground, so there isn’t an extended stay in any one location. We thought it was a fantastic way to see and experience so much of Ireland in a relatively short time. Some days included quite a bit of driving and walking, but the itinerary was very well planned and gave us a great mix of scenery, history and culture. We stayed at the Ashling Hotel the night before the tour departure, which made meeting the group the next morning very convenient. If you want to spend time exploring Dublin, it would be easy to add a few days before, or after the tour. Our guide and driver, Mark, was fabulous! He is very knowledgeable about Irish history and culture, but what really stood out was how attentive Mark was to the details that made everyone's experience better. He was always looking out for the group and helping make sure everything went smoothly. His knowledge, humor, and genuine care added so much to the trip. We would absolutely recommend Mark and Overland Tours. We came home with many wonderful memories!

Wonderful itinerary on the active 10-day tour! Our guide, Cathal, was exceptional and a very skilled driver. He provided excellent information and recommendations, and made dinner reservations for the group a few times along the way. He was always ensuring that we were satisfied and that our needs were met. Alternative activities were provided when itinerary activities were cancelled due to poor weather conditions. Accommodations and breakfasts were mostly excellent. Highly recommend a trip to Ireland using Overland!

Outstanding from start to finish! Cathal was informative and a true joy to teach us not only about our stops but also the history and culture along the way. Highly recommend this tour and Cathal as our driver/guide!

My husband and I had the best time! Our tour guide Cathal was amazing. He knew so much about history, traditions, and hidden gems. Every lodging was unique and comfortable. Each stop, every activity, was time well spent. The weather was perfect except for 1 day and Cathal pivoted and found a great alternative. The bus was comfortable, his driving impeccable, and all the other passengers were grand.

We had an amazing time in Ireland and Northern Ireland. It was the first time we had done a long tour and I was worried about being with a bunch of strangers for so long but we had a great group of people and got along well. Mark, our tour guide, was fabulous and showed us his lovely country and gave us lots of information. He worked out lunches, and dinners, and rest stops. Several of the hotels were 'not my cup of tea' and the room was small, sometimes not very clean, and stuffy. Some of the hotels were great and I'd stay there for more than one night. I liked the fact the tickets for attractions were already purchased for us and Mark figured that all out. I was also overwhelmed with how much was planned that was not on the itinerary on the web site. We would not have been able see everything on our own and we know now that driving in Ireland is not something we want to try. I would have liked a tiny bit more communication from the tour group. There was an email about a month ahead of time but I would have liked some communication a couple of days before we met to confirm that all was set. Maybe an email itinerary would have been good though Mark was very good about letting us know every night what the next day would bring. I highly recommend this tour company.

We had a great time with David. We took some unplanned side trips for some great photo ops - possible because we were in a van/bus- not full size. His love for Ireland shows in his storytelling. To clear up another review I saw, this 10-day trip is called relaxed inasmuch as there’s no biking, hiking, etc. There were multiple days we had 10-15K steps or more. Usually involving inclines and/or steps. If you can handle that, I highly recommend. Our van was scheduled for retirement. It was probably more bumpy in the back seat than others. No complaints, just marking this in case it recurs.

We had an amazing 10 day tour around Ireland with David. All of our destination tours were included in the price. Most of the hotels were top notch. The staff at each hotel were kind and accommodating. We only had one or two particularly rainy days. One was so bad, we were unable to take a boat to our destination. David quickly found an alternate tour elsewhere. It was comforting to have such a good driver and a kind person.
