We hadn’t done a group tour before but wanted to see different parts of Ireland without the stress of driving. We enjoyed our 8 day tour immensely… in large part due to our knowledgeable, funny and flexible tour guide Pat O’Mara. Our group of 15 were equally friendly and fun and we enjoyed many experiences and destinations that larger groups couldn’t. Highlights of the trip included a tour of the Burren Beef farm with the hardworking owners … a sheepdog demonstration with only our group and not busses of other tourists. Our 8 days went by so quickly and sad to be leaving Ireland tomorrow. I would happily recommend Overland Tours to friends and family … and bonus if you can get on a tour with Pat!

This was a great way to feel like I experienced Ireland. We saw a large variety of places, abbeys, monuments, castles along with the history and stories. Our guide Pat O’Mara was knowledgeable, entertaining and thoughtful. Took great care of us. I highly recommend his tour!

I would say this was an absolutely amazing tour around south Ireland. The scenery was stunning, the locations we went were amazing and our guide Pat was outstanding. His knowledge of all the locations we visited and history of Ireland dating back before Christianity to the present day was unreal. The Castles and the grounds around the castle, the Abbie’s, National parks and of course the cities were surreal getting a glimpse of the life was like back in the 11th century and today. We connected with all other couples and really got to know our guide. His quick wit responses was what made this tour outstanding and we never wanted to end it. We will be back.

This was my first trip to Ireland and Definitely worth every penny. Pat O’Mara is absolutely the best guide a person could ask for. The itinerary was excellent; the towns / counties were wonderful but Pat made the entire experience come to life even more. His expertise and historical knowledge was astounding. He truly cares about his group and wants each to have the experience of a lifetime…which I did. Well done Overland and many thanks to Pat O’Mara.

The tour was exceptional- we saw much more than expected, it was dynamic, quite educational, and comprehensive; scenery, hidden away sites, castles, nature… we had so many laughs, our group was game for everything and the guide, Pat, was probably the best part of the tour due to his approach. He was an interpreter of all things Irish; culture, language, history, music. Despite all the moving parts everything went smoothly. I highly recommend Overland!

This tour exceeded my expectations and was wonderful. The hotels and the sites we visited were outstanding. I will have wonderful memories of this trip. The guide, Hugh O'Reilly was fabulous and had entertaining stories to share along the way. He took amazing care of us the entire trip.

A friend and I recently returned from Ireland and an 8 day small bus tour with Overland Ireland Tours. We had a great group of fellow travelers, the weather was good, and Ireland was beautiful. That said, I want to recognize the person that made the trip even more enjoyable. That was our driver and guide Katarzyna Sabatowicz (thankfully I had asked for her business card!) Kat was not only a safe and professional driver, but had a wealth of local knowledge to share. She was punctual, friendly, and considerate. When we had a passenger with a medical issue Kat dropped us off at our next attraction and took that person to a doctor. Her prompt attention allowed that person to continue the tour.

Kat was an ideal guide! She was warm, organized, articulate, extremely knowledgeable, and quick to adapt to whatever was thrown her way, including curve balls. She clued right into everyone’s particular needs and goals and offered detailed information on options for spending free time and on negotiating the various modes of transportation available for post-tour activities. Her narrations on the landscape, culture, history, and people of Ireland enlivened the time in the bus and painted a satisfying accompaniment to the visual experience. It was a genuine pleasure to spend time with her!

The Emerald tour was a perfect introduction to the beauty and culture of Ireland. It mixed touring the iconic landmarks with local experiences so well. Our guide, Cathal coordinated our group with friendliness and humor. I highly recommend this tour!
