We had an excellent experience with our guide Alex. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. We would recommend this to everyone visiting Rome. Learning about the history of the Appian Way was fascinating and recommended to anyone, not just history buffs. The biking was easy and very scenic, and provided an insight into places less touristy but no less interesting. Highly recommended!

Great history, culture scenery and exercise. A fantastic bike tour.
A fabulous bike tour. Wonderful scenery and great historical stories. Our guide Alex was excellent, perfect English and great knowledge on Rome. He made the tour both safe and great fun. This was a highlight of our four day trip to Rome. I would highly recommend to anyone who would like to see outside of the city walls.

Stay away/Stay alive
Be careful!!!!! This is excursion is dangerously managed. We just completed it. One ride left in an ambulance and 2 others crashed. You will ride unsupervised through very busy streets and through crazy traffic. Don’t do it

Dear Sheri,
We hope you feel calm now.
We needed to tell you that you had written ''Stay away''.
You are right. Absolutely right, but let us complete your statement.
If you don't know how to ride a bicycle,
If you can not keep your balance on a bicycle
If you have mobility issues and ''it's been a while'' since the last time you were on a bicycle, STAY AWAY.
And also, you will never be left unsupervised in any part of the tour unless you leave to group and your guide by your own decision.
Wish you all the best.

Personal tour
The meeting point was easy to find. We were fitted with a helmet and a bike. This was our first time on an electric bicycle and found it easy to use. We still got a little work out. Our guide, Chris, was passionate and seemed excited to share history with us along the way. Our group was only six plus Chris, so our tour was personal. The stop at the catacombs was interesting. Other stops along the way were interesting as well. Lunch was okay. The route was a mix of dedicated bike lanes on roads, narrow roads, and dirt paths. This personalized tour was excellent.

Highly Recommended for Families with Teens
Our bike tour along the Appian Way was a highlight of our trip. This was my 2 teens favorite activity in Rome. Our guide Trevor was extremely knowledgeable about Roman history and was engaging and informative. This bike tour is a must-see while in Rome!

Totally recommend!
Our family had an amazing day with our guide Jeff! The e-bikes were well-maintained and easy to use. I appreciated the care that staff took to ensure the bike worked well for each of us. Our kids (10 & 13) are proficient bikers and I’m glad we got them each their own bikes. Jeff was great about keeping everyone safe, checking in, and offering informative talks that didn’t bore the kids. It was great way to see the beautiful aqueducts and old Appian Way! Totally recommend, even on a hot July day!

Rome e-bike tour
Lorenzo our tour guide was amazing! The sites included the catacombs, the aqueducts and a bit of the Appian way. Very scary to bike in Rome though if you are not used to it. None of us were experienced on an E bike but made it through. Thankfully Lorenzo took it easy on us and adjusted the route to make us feel safer and to make it more manageable for our group. Our group of 8 ranged from 11yrs to 73yrs and it was challenging, even with the adjustments. But really was an amazing tour. Took us all of out of our comfort zone and we got to see and learn so much about Rome.
