Best value ever. Super trip. I was a bit worried about finding the tour operator in Livorno but it couldn't have been easier Lucca was lovely, guide great and didn't talk too much. We had time enough in Pisa. I woukd definitely recommend. So much cheaper than anything on the cruise tour schedule

Our guide and bus driver were excellent and everything was on time. Alessandro was informative and organized

Everything worked out very well. We had the freedom to visit the places that interested us. Alessandro gave a good introduction to the places on the trip and Andrea's driving was very smooth.

Very busy meeting spot, lots of tours start there. Better signage recommended. Bus was fine as was the driver. Disappointed with the tour. Our guide did NOT provide any historical commentary. Based it was a "walking tour", he walked us around Lucca with no background history commentary. We spent too much time in Lucca. We rushed off to Pisa square and had 45 min to run around which included climbing the Tower. The guide didn't even escort us to the square. Short ride back to Livorno. Be advised this is truly only a "walking tour". Tour needs to better balance the time spent in Lucca (less) and Pisa (more).

We enjoyed exploring both Lucca and Pisa. Unfortunately we were only a couple of minutes behind the group's departure for the walking tour, and could not find them to catch up. This was due to having to find a bathroom where it was essential to wait in queue...so by the time we returned to the gathering point the group had left. There was no kind of attendance or tracking of who should be included in the tour, so I guess they presumed we'd changed our mind. While this was disappointing, we had a lovely time hiring bikes to tour around the walls instead. Pisa was nice, and we enjoyed the opportunity to climb the tower.

We left our cruise ship and used the Livorno shuttle from the cruise port. We were met from the shuttle bus by the Viator team. The excursion was extremely interesting and I liked that we went to Lucca first leaving Pisa for the afternoon. We included the tower ticket which I would highly recommend. The tower was very interesting. Our tour guides brought us straight back to the cruise port which saved us using the shuttle bus.

Travelers Beware!!! No Assistance During Transportation Strike, No response when trying to get a hold of the operator and Refund Unreasonably Denied I booked the Livorno Shore Excursion to Lucca and Pisa. On the day of the excursion, we were unable to reach the meeting point because Italy was experiencing a transportation strike and no trains were available. This was an unforeseen circumstance entirely outside our control. Attempts to Contact the Operator I made repeated efforts for several hours before the excursion to notify the tour operator, explain the situation, and request assistance. I sent messages and texts and attempted to call, but I received no response. Despite having advance notice of the problem, the operator did not provide guidance or help us identify an alternative way to reach the meeting point. The absence of communication was extremely frustrating and unreasonable. I made a genuine effort to contact the company before the tour, but no one was available to assist us or explain our options. A tour operator should provide a reasonable means of communication, particularly when an unexpected transportation disruption prevents customers from reaching the designated meeting point. After the excursion, I requested a refund, but my request was refused. I understand that tour operators may have cancellation policies. However, applying the policy without considering the transportation strike, the lack of available public transportation, and my documented attempts to notify the company in advance was unfair and unreasonable. I was not simply choosing to miss the excursion; I was prevented from reaching it by circumstances beyond my control, and the operator did not respond when sent numerous messages hours before. I am sharing this review to warn other travelers, especially cruise passengers and anyone relying on public transportation. Before booking, confirm what assistance and refund options are available if a strike or other transportation disruption prevents you from reaching the meeting point. Based on my experience, customers may not receive timely assistance or a refund even when circumstances are beyond their control and they make reasonable efforts to contact the operator beforehand. I was extremely disappointed with the lack of support and the refusal to provide a refund, and I would not book this excursion again.

Lies throughout this entire trip. We had Pisa on our bucket list for our Honeymoon. We thought this trip would be a great way to see Pisa and Lucca while being on a cool van with not too large a group, being able to access wifi as the description said. Wrong. In a European heatwave, there was no AC. Frederico, the guide, was very nice and he apologized about both the AC and WiFi not working. Not a great start. Everyone was frustrated being trapped in our own heat. Furthermore, that's two places the trip description was false advertising already. The group was far larger than the description, waiting on people became an anxious event. Strike three. He Group size was false. Then we get to Lucca. Have WAY too much time there and as we head toward Pisa, Frederico comes up to the few of us who opted into the leaning tower ticket, told us we'd have to run off the bus, have a 15 minute window only to enter, and by the way, we have to check our bags in because no bags are allowed up the tower or anywhere else throughout the Pisa monuments. We had an hour in Pisa, and almost didn't make the tower ticket time. We didn't have time to see everything there, and where the bus parks is a good 15 minute walk to get to the Pisa grounds where trains also come and go and you get caught waiting. The other couple and us had to RUN from the bus to the check in, and we made it with 1 minute left to the tower. And then we basically ran up the tower and ran back down. By the time it was over, we had to make the long walk back to the bus, and got caught waiting at least 5 to 10 minutes while the train road was blocked agai . You dont get an hour and a half or whatever lie is in this posting. You barely get 40 minutes due to the walk, trains and bag check. It's absurd. It's not the guides fault as he doesn't organize the tower tickets but boy does it make his job worse. Frederico was kind and informative, the driver was nice, but the logistics advertised are not legitimate. Then we sat in 100 degree trapped heat on the way back. We will not return.

The worst tour i ever went on and ive been traveling for 40 years. The meeting point was about 10 blocks away from the tower outside the city and they changed the bus and instead of her gathering the group to walk back to the bus she made us meet her back at the bus and we got lost. When we asked for directions they gave us directions the opposite way and instead of neeting us at the enterance she made me run about another 2 blocks inside the lot when my friend had me on the phone and the tour guide new i was in distress. I have heart condition and a fib and my heart was racing and i couldnt breath.

Ideal for cruises. Relaxed excursions and you see Lucca, a typical town in Tuscany, and Pisa. Sara our guide was very kind. She recommended an excellent restaurant in Lucca to us.
