This was a fabulous tour with an even more fabulous guide! He uncovered lots of hidden gems for us, spoke slowly, always waited for us to catch up, had a fun and cheerful personality.

Jerome is an excellent tour guide. We arrived in Avignon on a Monday evening and managed to book on to his 2 hour walking tour for the following morning. It was a great introduction to the city , an insight into some of its history as well as some discussion about more contemporary social and political attitudes.

Jerome gives great insights into historic Avignon and present day Avignon. A really thorough tour with many places you would not find as a visitor. Thoroughly enjoyed his tour.

This was an excellent overview of Avignon. I'm glad it was a 9am tour. If I could add a suggestion. Perhaps walk slower, and wait a few minutes longer at each interesting point not everyone is fit as the guide nor have legs as long as his. I was running to catch up, ( I do a lot of these tours, so am used to them but I am short and I like to take photos). I was not the only one with the same thought on this tour. But very, very interesting and I would definitely recommend it.

Jerome was a wonderful guide. He gave a great history of the city and included some information on the modern elements as well. I found him very engaging and expressive. We covered a lot during the tour. Would highly recommend this as a way to explore Avignon’s rich past!

Jérôme is an exceptional guide who provides the participants with very interesting tidbits of information on Avignon’s history. He took care to not only show us the “touristy” parts of the city (Palais des Papes, Pont d’Avignon, etc.) but also less well known sights highlighting the development of the city in modern times. Moreover, he recommended great restaurants and cafes to all of us to further enjoy our stay in Avignon. I would definitely take this guided tour again!
